You know what else is cool: Here’s something cool to know. At creation and in the Ten Commandments, God made the 7th day a Sabbath to keep holy and focus on him. The Catholic Church ruled by popes, thinking they are God on earth changed the sabbath to Sunday in honor of the sun god. Because Catholicism is not Christian, it’s pagan, anti Christ and it has twisted the Bible leading the mainstream Christian world to honor the sun, believe in immortality of the soul, that you die and go straight to heaven, and that people will burn in hell for all eternity. These are all pagan teachings, not biblical. And very soon in an attempt to “bring God back to America”, the Christian world will, like the Roman church of the past, influence legislation and among many things, make Sunday a holy day, just like Roman Constantine did in 321ad. As immorality increases, this law will ultimately be enforced globally, and along with the papacy, church and state will unite and use force to “worship” Sunday, day of the sun, earth worship in opposition to Gods 7th day Sabbath. The papacy is beast #1, the Christian churches that have adopted papal teachings are beast #2 of Revelation 13, and Sunday exaltation when it is enforced, is the mark of the beast. The Bible prophesied this, because God loves us and wants us to know the future, so we know that when we see this global union and false worship, tyrannical methods of force used against those who stand against it, that’s the event that immediately proceeds Jesus second coming. This is why he told us. “If you love me, keep my commandments. And not to forget but in the 4th commandments”, “REMEMBER the sabbath day to keep it holy, 6 days you labor and do all your work but the 7th day is the Sabbath of the Lord.”

@MMadesen3 жыл бұрын
@@xxzz5360 @Furienna Freya was a specific norse godess. While germanic paganism was largely the same in all if the germanic world, it still differed to some degree. Different tribes favoured different gods over others. Often big Rivers like the Rhine became their own gods, specific to the germanic tribes on the Rhine. And similarly the northern germanic tribes had two godesses, one called Frigg/Frigga, wife to Odin, the other Freya, godess of marriage and love. While southern germanic tribes, including the Anglosaxons had only one godess, called Fria/Frija. She was both wife to Woden and godess of love, beauty and marriage. So she either was a fusion of the two nordic godesses. Or the two nordic godesses are the result of a split of one original godess. Either way, the english Friday is named for Fria, which is essentially both Frigg and Freya combined.

In the Japanese tradition, the planets were named after the five basic elements - Fire, Water, Earth, Metal and Wood. When they adopted the seven day week, they followed the western tradition of naming the days after the planets. Sunday and Monday became Sun Day and Moon Day. Mars was the Fire Star, so Tuesday became the Fire Day. Similarly, Mercury=Water Star>Wednesday=Water Day, Jupiter=Wood Star>Thursday=Wood Day, Venus=Gold/Metal Star>Friday=Gold/Metal Day, Saturn=Soil/Earth Star>Saturday=Soil/Earth Day.

In Hebrew, the names of the days are literally numbered. Yom Rishón (Sunday)= First Day Yom Shení (Monday) = Second Day and so on... Until we get to Saturday. Instead of calling it Yom Shvi-ee- or the seventh day- it was named "Yom Shabát" (commonly and infuriatingly mispronounced as- Shábbes) Shabát comes from the Planet Shabtai (pronounced like Shub and Thai like Thailand) which is, you guessed it, Saturn. Also, Shabát also serves as a past-3rd-person-male conjugation of the verb- To Cease, and in modern usage- To Strike. This connects to the symbolic meaning of Shabát as a day of rest.

This entire working you have shown comes from Indian ancient astronomy. Good work. Aryabhatta and Surya Siddhanta contains these calculations. Where 1st Astronomical Object (AO) is called the lord of the day. then count to 24 and in cyclic manner the following 1st (or 25th) will be the lord of the next day. where as 2nd to 24th are the lord of the hours. The system with 7 days connected to the 7 planets (including the moon) origins all the way back to the sumerian culture in Mesopotamia a couple of thousand years before the romans adopted it. Each planet was connected to a spesific god, representing war, love, etc. The point is, when other cultures, like greeks and later the romans and germans, adopted the the system, the put in the names of their own gods for the same purposes. Thats why the day Thursday (now the 4th day of the week) is connected to the war god in each civilisation. And so on.

Here is what logic and reason might say... These wanderers in the heavens must be men like ourselves, but greater. Though they seem to move so slowly, it is clear that they are extremely far away. Therefore they are in fact racing at great speed across these distant lands in shiny chariots reflecting the light of the Sun. Unlike the Sun, covered in blood at his birth in the morning, and the blood of his death in the evening, Mars is perpetually covered in the red blood of his enemies - thus he is the mighty warrior, truly the god of war. Perhaps looking at Jupiter with extremely good eyesight, or some blurry basic magnification, yet knowing him as Thor, the observer notices this great one has a smaller mass (four moons) swinging around him. Looking at the men around him to understand this he sees warriors swinging hammers around them in the same sort of way. Thus Thor must also be a warrior like the bloody god of war he knows as Tiw, and Thor swings a hammer...
@ALoonwolf5 жыл бұрын
...And them some priests who had been observing "the ways of the gods" notice that there is a regular predictable time to their movements. And thus when the planets move behind the Sun, "Look! Thor is no longer in the heavens, he has come down to show us amazing things, let us worship him.... Wow, Thor put on a great show, then he said he was leaving, and true to his word we saw him return to the heavens, where he watches over us."

It is from the Anglo-Saxon name for Frigg, Frīġ (Pronounced "free"). In Old English the name is Frīgedæġ, or Frīġ's day.
@thurianwanderer6 жыл бұрын
West Germanic "*Frîja" (love, the loved one). As Zechariah stated, another example O.H.German "frîatac" > "frîtac" (Freitag). There has never been a day named after ON "Freyja" (lit. mistress), the sister of "Freyr" (lit. lord), going back to Germanic "Frauwjaz" / "Frawjô", due to the i-mutation Proto-Norse intransitional forms like "Fräwja, Fröyja > Fräyja" led to Freyja and Freyr. Their WGmc. counterparts "frawa : fraw-, frau-" cf. OHG "frouwo, frôwo > frô" (lord) and "frouwa" (lady, MHG "vrouwe", NHG "Frau", Dutch "vrouw"), as well as in English, though if there would have been an Anglo-Saxon equivalent as *Frêa (lord) even maybe the female *Frêaġe, *Frêge (mistress) read as Frêawe, Frêwe, thus "frêadæġ" would look like"*Freaday, *Freeday", resp. frêġedæġ > "Fraiday, *Frayday".

So on Mars, they use the term "sol" to refer to the time it takes for the planet to make a full rotation, rather than "day," which is reserved exclusively for Earth. Does that mean the seven day week on Mars would be "Monsol, Tuesol, Wednesol, Thursol, Frisol, Satursol, Sunsol," along with other terms like "yestersol" and "birthsol"?

In Italy we use "dì" which is just the time of the day (giorno) in which there is light. (Although, most of us use "giorno" for both) So the days are Lunedì (Luna=Moon Dì= day) so: Day of the moon Martedì (Marte=Mars Dì= day) so: Day of Mars Mercoledì (Mercurio=Mercury Dì= day) so: Day of Mercury Giovedì (Giove=Jupiter Dì= day) so: Day of Jupiter Venerdì (Venere=Venus Dì= day) so: Day of Venus The last 2 are a little different Sabato (it comes from Hebrew: Shabbat= the day of rest) Domenica (it comes from Latin: Dies dominicus= the day of the lord)

It's also worth noting that the reason Sunday is the day of rest in Christianity is because as Rome progressed, it adopted the sun god Sol Invictus as the chief deity, so it made sense to have the day worshipping the sun as the day of rest. Obviously, as the Romans adopted Christianity, they kept a lot of their Pagan traditions, just altered somewhat.

Tyr WAS NOT the god of war, that was Thor. He was the god of contracts and oaths, who swore to the Fenris Wolf (the evil child of Loki) that the gods weren't going to trick him, when they put magical bindings on his feet. And so Tyr put his hand in the Fenris wolf's mouth, and when the wolf realised he'd been tricked, he bit off Tyr's hand. Also Friday was not named for Frigg, but her husband Frey, who was the third in the Norse triune divinity of Wotan, (Odin) Thor, and Frey.
@Furienna3 жыл бұрын
No, Thor was the god of thunderstorms. That was important though, since the rain from the thunderstorms made the crops grow. Thor was believed to also kill the trolls and giants, who would have attacked humans otherwise.
@MMadesen3 жыл бұрын
Tyr/Tiu was indeed the god of warfare, equivalent to the roman god Mars. Thor/Thunaer is the equivalent to Juppiter, the god of Thunder. But he was probably also worshiped during times of war. There wasnt that clear of a definition between germanic gods, since nothing was written down and their function was given down to the next generation through talking. So the gods changed their function sometimes.

@@alex27826 No I don't. The Roman Empire being Christian is official history. It's the christians who have the blood of tons of Pagan Germanics on their hands, don't try to hide this. @MMadesen3 жыл бұрын
@@Frobbl Thats a bit of a misconception. Firstly Christianity isnt native to Europe at all. It was created in Israel and spread through the roman empire. Then shortly after, the (western) roman empire collapsed. It was invaded by germanic and hunnic tribes and eventually defeated. Those germanic tribes had been largely pagan when they invaded, but on their new lands of the former empire, they quickly adopted and converted to christianity, the religion of their roman subjects. Most importantly the Franks, a germanic tribe, who ruled over Gallia, became a fierce defender of christianity. Under their king and later emperor Charlemagne they invaded, subjugated and forcefully converted their germanic pagan kinsmen still living in Germania. Eventually Christianty spread to the British Isles as well, mostly through missionaries, a very well known one being Saint Patrick. The northern germanic tribes remained largely pagan for some time, but after they came into contact with christianity during the viking ages, they slowly converted. All in all, the Romans had nothing to do with this, since they themselves were destroyed by pagan germanic tribes, who then converted on their own.

What do you mean? All germanic tribes worshiped roughly the same gods. In northern germanic tribes the mightiest god was called Odin, in southern germanic tribes he was called Woden or Wodan. Basically every tribe had a slightly different dialect and a slightly different name for the same gods. Similarly the christian god is called god in english, Gott in german and dio in italian.
