What a charming little history behind 'donnybrook!' Just last month, I was in a restaurant called "Doolally" in Dublin that served Indian cuisine, and being the quintessential English Nut aficionado that I am, I couldn't help but try to read up all I could about the etymology of that word beforehand! Imagine to my surprise when that journey took me to a quaint little 19th century British Indian army outpost in a rural Maharashtra called Devlali! And why the name of that village has come to mean 'slightly mad' in English now is a story that I think no one can explain as well as English Nut - and so I won't even attempt to explain it here!

Had done a video on doolally in the early days of The English Nut. I think I only put it on FB.

When you find yourself into a donnybrook, surrounded by quislings and enemies so don't loose your heart. Wait for the metanoia to creep in that will overwhelm you with moledro and making you resonate with the people who have been through this inspiring you through their feats of bravery and gallantry...! ❤ What a mesmerizing, captivating, superlative and splendid lesson It's :) 🎉

I honestly love your content & I would like to suggest one idea: You take words & phrases from the tv shows or series for example Big Bang Theory & explain those words. It would be fun. Bazinggaaaaa!

Love these. I try to slip these words up in my conversations to look like a sarcastic pedant
