I'm enjoying your reaction vids for this series! Can't wait to see the last two episodes. I thought I was the only person here who doesn't totally hate August lol. He's a pretentious asshole and makes a lot of frustrating choices, but the narrative of the show helps us understand why he's the way that he is. The expectations put on him aren't quite as demanding as those put on Wilhelm, but he's still in that high pressure environment where he feels that he has to be a certain way and project a certain image. So when he starts losing control of that image, it makes sense that he would act up. I still want to reach through the screen and shake him, but I think he's a really interesting character.

Yes! I said the same thing. Like I just wanna pinch him but I definitely get him most of the time. He’s just trying to survive the best way he can and I can only sympathize with that.

I disagree with your take on Simon and his dad interaction tbh. Like, man had a stupid amount of pills in there and you can’t possibly justify ALL those meds on prescription or because he needs them. Especially considering the fact that he’s been abusing drugs for what seems to be a really long time, if what Simon and Sara have said is anything to go by. And tbh I would have no respect for a man that, as Simon said, couldn’t be bothered to at least try and stop taking drugs for his kid’s sake and that NOW wants to build a pseudo relationship. I also think that any rational father would’ve sat Simon down and talked about the him stealing the drugs not fckn push/throw him against the wall. Other than that I really love your reactionssss, I wanted to rewatch the show and this is the perfect way to do it lol

Aw I definitely agree with you as yes there’s many layers to this story. At the time I genuinely didn’t want Simon to take anything from his dad especially with the current state of their relationship as two wrongs don’t make a right. But I like I said, after watching it fully I totally get your point. And thank you for watching 🥹

Lol I agree that what August did was wrong but I feel bad for him because he has experienced a lot and he’s just acting out. I think most characters on this show acts selfishly but August does it to further extent.

I think this reaction was far too short. This episode has so many important moments that just seemed to be glossed over i.e. the interaction on the football pitch, remembering Simon's number even though he had deleted it, Simon dropping everything to go to his aid despite Wilhelm's treatment of him. A lot of the scene was actually improvised which makes it all the more incredible. Hopefully future reactions will be more detailed or they become hardly worth watching (sorry!).
