When Simon asked Wilhelm if he remembers what he (wille) said, he sat up like that because he was nervous and embarrassed, we all get that way after we drunk dial people lol. And in regards to you wondering if they were moving too fast, you gotta remember these are two teenage boys. Teenage boys are pure hormones lol. Not to mention they’ve been pining for each other for weeks and they’re like each other’s only friend atm. And the chemistry is seriously hardcore. I’m not at all surprised they progressed so soon lol

I get how it seems fast, AND it makes sense. Wilhelm has been wanting physicality and holding back, so in his vulnerability AND with Simon being so thoughtfully there (and trustworthy), it makes sense that this is where he would allow the sexual vulnerability. The good news is that it was done from trust as much as it was done from need. All the feels with Simon going to see him and keeping watch, even with his heart broken. Also kudos to the writers for letting Simon be angry and push Wilhelm away in all his drug-induced affection. That actually makes sense (and Simon is probably so sick of the flip-flopping by this point... another reason I think the intimacy was used, as it is a sign that Wilhelm was.committing). As for security, they tend to sit outside the door waiting (this has been what we have seen over and over), where Wilhelm left through the window.

I guess it didn't click for me at the time bc I'm ace, so I find comfort and intimacy in other ways, but it does make a lot of sense, this need to be vulnerable in that moment and bare themselves in more than one way 🥺 it just made the scene ten times cuter 😭🥺

Most of us work with teens (I’m a teacher for this age group) or have teens ourselves, but yes. My husband loved that show, too. In Norway every age group watched it back then. My mother was like 75 at the time, and loved it too. Young Royals is just beautiful.

However, I respond differently and more strongly to Young Royals that I found myself looking at youtube video reactions desperate for someone to talk to about it. The last time I ever felt this way with a visual media was with Jongens which is a dutch indie coming of age film. I just love how they are the center of the story with no confusing subplots and there's no unneccessary drama and both films focused on the thrills and elation of first love. IDK I'm completely obsessed! You said you are teacher, how are the kids receiving YR in that region? Hopefully strong because we need a second season.

Very interesting take on the Simon's dad thing... Idk if that's the case though bc I don't remember chronic back pain ever being mentionned for his character in the show... From a writing perspective it would be really tragic and well thought of tho! Again... for the intimacy scene between Wilhelm and Simon, you have to keep in mind that I'm asexual. I don't experience those kind of rush of desire or whatever and the build up could have been a little longer in my opinion. It felt a tad fast (the progression of the scene I mean) but it's still a very beautiful and realistic moment I feel like. I love this scene.

I don't know what the English translation says, it may have been poorly translated. It's likely that a back injury started the whole drugs and booze spiral - Sara refers to a starting point, that may have been the cause.

Wilhelm got embarassed by how forward Simon was when he asked the question, and he was probably mortified as the mememories from the night before came back to his mind. If it was supposed to be bc of a boner, the scene wouldn't have played out the way it did. It was about them finally adressing their feelings for each other out loud (and then express those feelings physically, of course)

Decided to rewatch your old reactions. Idk if I’ve ever asked but did you see Skam France? I know you’ve seen some of them. But in SKam France season 3 “remember me” is the song during the emotional scene of Lucas locating Eliott. And so the very first time I saw this episode of young royals, I had to pause for about 10 ten minutes to get my crying under control after the choir finished singing the same song

You are emotional, ok I am not alone here then. The royal diner gave us the level of pressure he has on him I feel. His speech too when he explain he has to make his brother proud*. The song was beautiful, yes his voice is full with emotion, it is a talent, right. I think Wille needs Simon to comfort him, but his duties takes it over, he chooses to deal with it on his own...and we know how he drown then. I don't like Simon behavior with his dad and with August. And dealing drug as a solution for his money issue...not good Simon. Wille break down is arrived. This frick show! I keep trying to identify a redeeming quality in August b/c I'd like to believe no one can be scripted to be THAT repugnant. But alas, I cannot... he just goes too far and shatters my suspension of disbelief. He's a freaking cartoon villain.
