That's not true at all, there's no heroin freebase from Afghanistan on the American continent. Heroin freebase can be smoked. I've never seen anyone smoke heroin, unless it's black tar or fentanyl. Afghanistan is way too far. It doesn't make sense to bring h from there when there are tons of poppy fields in Columbia and Mexico.

The way they explain it is wrong, actually you'd have the raw opiummixed with water then you add calcium oxide overnight a clear foamy brown solution will appear on the top, this is the first very crude morphine extract, from there it is siphoned off into a seperate container where ammonium chloride is added, the morphine base will now precipitate and can be filtered and caught in the filter, from there the crystals are put into another vessel where the acetic anhydride will be added to acetylize the morphine, after this the solvent will be evaporated off and whats left will be heorin.

I saw a show that said the besides people getting hooked on pain pills another reason that heroin has become so popular is because the drug cartel started losing money when pot became legal in the several of the US's states. The cartel started losing money so they needed another way to make money and heroin and cocaine were the way along with a little bit of pot. It did make sense too.

I'm in L.A and it's all Mexican black tar. I was a addict, I smoked it and never slammed it. If I did pry be gone, locked up or on the streets, but thank God for a great family and support system. Been clean 4 years almost and I'm 33. Started with over the counter pain meds, then Oxy, and then the black tar. Out here it depends it is anywhere from 30 to 40 a half g, and a g 60 to 80. Yeah balloons are like 10 etc but it keeps adding up and gets expensive. I pray for anyone on it that you can get the power to just quit, and give it up. Anyone can do it! It may be hard in the beginning, but you can do it. This is the devil's drug it ruins your life! I pray for anyone on it, that you can overcome it or on prescription medications like Norcos, Vicodin, Roxy's, etc if it's and opiate it has the same effect. Also out here in L.A and Southern California isn't getting fentanyl mixed with it like in Ohio, West VA, and the East Coast especially. It is out here just in my area not so much. My prayers are with all you can beat it!

there's more tar than powder in the US. its more crude but takes 1/5 of the chemicals to produce and contains more opioid alkaloids than the pure 'China White' from Thailand and Burma. tar is also harder to kick.

You guys I know everyone thinks everything is a giant conspiracy, but as a heroin addicts with 3 yrs clean I know a thing or two. All of heroin in the US literally comes from Mexico, it is true. I have literally gone over the border to Tijuana to purchase heroin in backroom shops. All heroin dealers are mostly Mexican nationals that barely speak English. In addition to black tar heroin Mexicans are now producing high quality powder heroin. Europe does get their heroin from Afghanistan though.

Unless all drugs are legal, pure and FREE, there will always be underground markets. Legalizing and taxing cannabis in Colorado, for example, hasn't ended the street market for illegal weed; in fact, the illegal market is booming in Colorado, just as before weed became 'legal.'
