British troops fired upon a crowd gathered in King Street, Boston, on March 5, 1770. 11 men and boys were shot. In total 6 would die - 3 were wounded and lingered of their injuries for a couple hours or, in the case of Christopher Monk, even for as long as a decade. But three others died on the spot - Crispus Attucks, Samuel Gray, and James Caldwell. Here, we discuss some of circumstances surrounding their deaths, and where they were standing in the crowd on King Street, when the British troops fired.

Paul Revere was an engraver and created copper plates for printing.

What I find interesting is that John Adam's defended the British officer and men involved. They were acquitted. Then Adams was one of the chief founders who wanted to end ties with Britain and seek independence.

As a lifelong military and American historian, I can’t believe it took me so long to find this amazing channel. This video was very informative…my guess was John Adams who defended the soldiers in court. Okay…the Boston accent makes the video more enjoyable. New and excited subscriber. Thank you.

I found your channel this morning and I've binged watched all your videos today, they are excellent ! My 5X g-grandfather was a RI privateer, a member of its Committe of Correspondence, Council of War, and he piloted the French fleet into Newport during the Revolution. I have a few more Rev War ancestors that I'm tracking down. Thank you for keeping your beautiful accent, sadly disappearing these days.

So after your last video on Henry Jacobs we went and visited his grave, then while in Salem, MA we learned that he's related to George Jacob who was hanged on August 19, 1692 as a part of the Witch Trials in Salem. Today we visited Jason Russell house was wondering do you know where about he was killed (Jacobs)?? then we visited Jason Russell's grave & Samuel Whittmore's marker. keep up the great work
