I was there yesterday and they had everything open and the tower as well which used to be on the other side of the tracks inside of the tower was nostalgic and yes good finds here but Griffith never disappoints

Great catches and video. Those small town hotspots are always worth checking out. I never realized CN had so much real estate in the US.

They absolutely are! And yeah, CN actually has a huge presence here in the States. They have a ton of trackage in the Chicago area, and even reach all the way down to New Orleans since they bought out the Illinois Central.

I went here back in March during my Spring Break. I'm already planning on going back as I never expected to see all the stuff that I did.

I don't blame you, it is an amazing spot. I had no idea there were still places one could go to see such huge variety in motive power.

I’m only a couple of hours from there, looks like it would be worth the trip

Well another outstanding video on a trip that I wish I could have been on with you... Looks like a great place, must be flat ground no grade because I noticed almost every train only has two locomotives... look like fun. See ya soon... Gary

Yes sir! It was an amazing trip. I loved seeing trains in a part of the country that isn't desert brown. LOL! Lot's of flat land out there though, so the can move a lot with only a couple units. One of these years we'll plan a trip out there. You will absolutely love it. Take care, Brother. See ya in a few weeks!

I know the C&O, Erie, EJ&E, and Grand Trunk went through this town, but what was the 5th railroad? That classic diamond in Griffith must’ve had controllers sweating up a storm. Awesome footage!

Thank you for watching! The fifth railroad would have been the New York Central, later Pen Central. What I would pay to be able to go back in time and see this place in the 70s and early 80s! Imagine the sound of trains hitting all those diamonds. Must have been quite something.
