The SAPES Trust Policy Dialogues have covered the issue of corruption in a number of previous policy dialogues. In the main these have been concerned with identifying corruption (such as the Cartel Report), the ways in which it takes place (illicit money flows), and some of the people alleged to be involved in corruption. Implicit in all these discussions has been the impact of corruption on the economy of the country: what has been the costs to development and the livelihoods of the citizenry?
This new Policy Dialogue unpacks not just the question implied in the reference to the alleged corruption about goats, but rather the broadest consequence on the country of rampant corruption. An expert panel will attempt to answer this question.
