As a current hamster owner, heres a few tips for you! 1: try spending time with your hamster daily, even 5 minutes can improve your friendship! 2: feed it daily and don’t forget! I went through a stage where i kept forgetting and if im honest, i think my hamster nearly starved. 3: find a suitable cage the right size like Victoria has said :) 4: give it a good amount of bedding. I hope this helps with your hamster care or anybody else reading my reply :)

If I had a Hamster I'd be shopping for Goodies all the time (Retail Addiction) While watching an idea popped into my head of Clay Drainage Pipes for Hammies, there are some great handmade Pottery ones with junctions , bends and a decent size. I love that you get right to the action, no long winded intros on your Videos.

I’m looking back on all your old videos when I did research about hamsters. I’m so glad I did it cause I learnt so much about them that I didn’t even know! But mainly because my first hamster has sadly past on the 10/16. It was really hard to loose him cause he was an awesome first hamster. I did the whole taming process and everything, and he could have not been a better hamster. He loved cuddling with you and just sitting there. He would run around in his cage and then just stare at you, which I throughly was so funny. And when ever we took a photo of him he would pose, like models do. I wanna thank you so much for all the tips, tricks, and hamster care that you have taught me. I first came in thinking they needed some small cage and they would be fine, but boy was I so wrong. *I’m so happy to know my hamster (Dustie) got the best chance of life thanks to you. Hi first off I love your videos they always are so helpful and make me smile the second thing is just a thanks for spending your time to educate people on cages before I found your channel I was one of those people Who impulsively bought a hamster and put it in a critter trail and thought they had the best hamster care ever because the were so expensive but after finding your videos within a week I was able to by a bin and make some diy stuff cause Yk what even though cardboard houses aren’t the best it is so much better then a house or a wheel that is not big enough for my hamster !! Even though my hamster just recently passed away thanks to you telling how to have good care of them I am confident that the reason for its passing is not on me and that I gave him good care he lived for 3 1/2years 2018-2021

i use small pet select bedding that I love because I can get a giant bag quite cheaply for the amount ( It can last me about 3-5 months depending on how much I need due to how clean bingley kept his cage that month) and it isn’t dusty, I ditched kaytee clean and cosy because it was very dusty and I didn’t want Bingley on that. I also ditched carefresh because it was too expensive for my liking when pet select was cheaper per

They are great aren’t they. Most of my hamsters enrichment toys are from niteangel too and yes they have great qualities. Food, sprays and some hideouts are also from hammypals, fatpouches. I’d love them but unfortunately it’s always sold out, especially sprays and herbs. Now we know why hamsters aren’t cheap pets but we love them 💕

I think you are a great role model for species appropriate husbandry. Your enclosures are great! I come from Germany and I noticed that good hamster care is even rarer in the USA than here with us. You see almost always only small cages with lots of colorful plastic accessories - real cruelty to animals! I hope so much that species-appropriate husbandry becomes more popular and that people become more aware of the needs of hamsters. (no children's toys, nocturnal, solitary etc.) My only tip: I use chinchilla sand for fur care. It is much better for the fur than terrarium sand or bird sand. Many greetings!

That is because Germanys laws/requirements are much different when it comes to the care of hamsters. Chinchilla bath sand isn’t safe here like it is there, bird sand isn’t safe but reptile sand is 😊

I LOVE your videos, you've taught me so much about proper care for hamsters. I had always thought the "normal" pet care was way off and got my first hamster at the age of 28 lol. I love him and have used your videos to self build his habitat and his environment based on your video using the 4 ft by 4 foot enclosure video. My hamster passed away like a month ago and had a funeral now im getting a new hamster! so the cage is 540 sq floorspace and also there is a diy cage attached to it that has around 230 sq inches of floorspace! there is a 9 inch wheel (wooden) and much enrichment!! also i will use forage, 10 inches of bedding (paper) and sprays!! all that is bc of ur amazing videos if i would nevver seen ur vids i would probs have just used a small bad cage thank you so much Victoria! also the hamster will be a dwarf

Maybe try joining some UK hamster facebook groups? You'll find some useful info there. I'll make a quick list of products available in the UK regardless. Cages: Savic Plaza, Alexander, Barney, Zoozone 2 (meshed), rabbit/guinea pig cages (meshed), Mamble 100, Ritz, and of course, DIY cages from IKEA. Bedding (brands): Teabag Bedding Company, Carcroft, Small Pet Select, Carefresh, Fitch, Chipsi, and Hugro. Toys/Accessories (brands): Niteangel (though they only sell the platform and stilts in the UK), Rosewood, Trixie, as well as certain things sold at Pets at Home ((please be aware, some products sold by Pets at Home are not safe for hamsters despite being labelled as such). Wheels: TicTac Wheels, Trixie Wooden and Plastic Wheels, Kaytee Silent Spinner, Kaytee Comfort Wheel, Silent Runner, Savic Rolly, and Flying Saucers ((these do not replace an upright wheel)). These are some of the main brands in the UK, though I highly reccomend looking into it yourself so you can see what's right for you and your hamster. It can also be a good idea to look on Etsy, since most sellers on there genuinely care about the wellbeing of their seller's animals. Happy Henry's Homes, NZPAWS, Rora and Friends, Tinypawsandcompany, and Bears Hamsters are all reliable Etsy shops, for example.

I bought a "hamster habitat" ... that ended up being a bit larger than a shoe box... its a perfect carrier for vet visits. My hamster's habitat is 62 x20 inches or 155x50 cms big and I shred napkins as bedding cos they are good and cheap... It also helps me saving money for his vet bills. PS clean coconut shells also make great hamster caves just check regularly they don't pee inside, it can grow mold

I did everything I could, including medical care, syringe feeding, & keeping her warm/comfortable as possible. I haven’t been able to stop crying all day, because I wish Lily had been given a chance to live a normal life. In the short week I had her, she was in a huge enclosure & seemed active and happy until yesterday.🥺 I have another hamster, a mushy/affectionate Syrian male. When the time is right, I can’t decide if I want to get another Syrian, or a Robo. (I have 2 large Niteangel enclosures, thanks to you Victoria!) Just wanted to let you know that although I’ve been crying most of today, but- watching your videos helps a lot bc it motivates me even more to give the best treatment ever for these little guys.
