Very sorry to hear about your dad. My grandmother had a couple of strokes a few months before she passed away, so I know what you're talking about. There's even a KZbin I watch who had a stroke, but he had it coming with everything he ate. The channel hasn't been the same since, but then again, he hasn't stopped eating all that bad stuff either. I hope your dad continues to recover. It really gives a sense of how thin that line is that we're all riding on. Second, you've APPEARED! Wow it's been a while. I went and subbed to your other channel. A lot of people make these "where I've been" videos and they all basically say something to the effect of "life got in the way". Well, I understand that, sometimes it really does, and for you it has. I may have told you before--keep recording no matter what. Sure, there may be videos that you don't post, but without your even saving them privately, that moment in time is lost. You might also record a video that you think isn't very good, but it's important to keep clicking that upload button because you never really do know what's going to happen.

Thanks very much. Yeah, that's another bad association I have with winter now, on top of all the other trouble it causes. Yes, thanks for subbing. Drums are another intregal part of my life that I want to make known to other people. I'll be sure to keep hitting that button, there's a lot to show here. I guess one other thing that always kind of held me back on videoing, was the fact that, I tend to speak more fluently in writing than I do verbally, so I was always worried that my videos weren't going to turn out as good as like yours always do. See, I try to sort of model my mannerisms and techniques in my videos like how you do--very straight forward and to the point, yet with some tasteful spice. But I have some kind of a speech impedement, so I might stammer or redo some of my statements in my videos, and that's why. I'll try to exercise improvement on that from here on. We should talk more. Maybe email?

@@lizboz Listen, we all have good and bad days. But I've learned that the bad days aren't so bad most times. There have only been a very few times I have had to completely scrap a video. Sometimes, I trip over my own words! Every now and again I'll leave that in, it simply lets others know I'm human and make mistakes too. So you don't have to worry about being perfect, or as perfect as you can make it 100% of the time. We're just...not! Email sounds great, I keep my email box open 24 hours a day and get a blang throughout the house, so I often reply quickly. Shoot me an email at jaykay18contestwinner@gmail.com, then I'll send you my actual email address.

Nice to see the face behind the voice. The last time i remember seeing you was when you were still a kid playing drums. You've gotten just a tad bigger since then ;) Glad to hear your dad is recovering. My best friend has had 2 strokes almost exactly a year apart. First one affected his right side and was a major stroke. Everybody that has seen his records from the first stroke are surprised he survived it. Second affected his left side but wasn't as severe but he now has no use of his legs and only his left arm. He's failing medically and they are now talking about hospice care. So stay on your dads case about taking care of himself so he doesn't have another one! They can change everything about your life instantly. My friend got up and went to work one day in January of last year and never went home. He's been in the hospital and a nursing home/rehab ever since.

Sorry to hear about your friend. That's never fun. Never. Yeah, I firmly believe that my dad's case is from a number of things. Things like bad dieting, too much stress from his job as a lifelong tractor mechanic and parts customer service guy, dealing with too many stupid customer people, you get the point. Oh, and I forgot to mention in the video, he has an enlarged atrium as well, so that doesn't help things either.

Sounds like the typical burning the candle at both ends syndrome. Having a heart problem also can add to the risk. My friends stroke was caused due to uncontrolled high blood pressure. He knew it was high but refused to go see a doctor to get it under control. That's why they call high blood pressure the silent killer. The only good thing about my friend having his stroke is it motivated me to get back in to see my doctor and get my BP under control after not being to the doctor in over 10 years.

Yeah, I'm taking this as an example of what NOT to do with my health. All his life, my dad was fed nothing but sugar. His mother would put it in pretty much anything he ate. He also was a heavy drinker in his younger adult years. Now it's all coming back.

I haven’t uploaded any videos in quite awhile but hopefully I can start uploading once again. Reason why I haven’t uploaded is ever since the whole COPPA thing happened last year has made me a little leary of uploading any videos to KZbin. Keep on saying I’ll make videos of my machines but whenever I plan on making a video something else has to pop up and get in my way and I usually try to make videos when everyone is out of the house since everyone always happens to be talking in the background whenever I try to make a video. This year has been crazy with all that’s going on and I thought nothing good would end up happening this year but everything changed when I worked out a deal and got the 1963 Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII set I now own and I’ve been feeling better since I got them and now I’ll have something to keep me occupied in the meantime.

Totally understandable. I suffered the same thing with background noise for years. Sometimes, it just has to be. Like Jay said, keep hitting that upload button, you never know what's going to happen! Would LOVE to see that Whirlpool Imperial set! Those are fantastic machines!

lizboz if you have seen the video KZbin user richard3700hz uploaded to KZbin 2 years ago of his 1965 RCA Whirlpool Imperial dryer my 1963 Whirlpool dryer is the same as that 1965 Whirlpool dryer but mine is a Mark XII since it has the window on the door and has a sprinkler (basically a sort of steam feature) and has a drying fabric guide under the lint screen cover. Only thing that doesn’t work on mine is there is a sort of belt shifter on it and it’s supposed move the belt to the other pulley slowing down the blower/fan air output and steps down the wattage as well but mine is broken and doesn’t shift the belt to the other pulley and it still works it just doesn’t change the speed of the air output of the blower/fan. Even on the normal speed drying temp it seems to dry fast and that’s with the 4500 watt element and when the other 1000 to 1500 watt element is selected it gets HOT and dries quite fast but that will only be used for drying towels and heavy bedding. I created a thread on AW about my new 1963 RCA Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII set and I got quite a bit of a response since it’s the only Mark XII set from 1963 that is quite possibly the only one that’s known to exist since I’ve seen no others in the archives on AW. Unfortunately I can’t use my ‘63 Whirlpool at the moment since the hose that goes from the pump to the lint filter broke on me but I can’t really complain since it lasted for 57 years and hopefully I can find a hose at Hope Depot that will fit.

I haven't seen his videos, I will take a look sometime. I never realized they put steam features in the old ones! Just goes to show another technology that isn't by any means, "new". Like OLED or LCD screens. Hopefully you can get those issues fixed with your machines. Full disclosure, I'm planning on picking up another direct drive tomorrow. That's all I'm going to say for now, but if all goes well, you will indeed see a video on that!

lizboz Nice, and the direct drives will hands down make most newer machines look like a complete disaster! It was a dumb move on Whirlpool’s part to discontinue the direct drive washers since it was a design they had for over 30 years and just worked for what it was but sadly gullible consumers (more like assumers) fell for the newer HE belt drive machines and are now complaining on how the newer machines don’t clean as well but again they fell for the new crap they make today. Consumers not only consume but consume as they assume and assume as they consume.
