funny how yourself and liquid lake have essentially had parallel careers in terms of (narrative) mapping - starting in 2019, blowing up in 2020 with two different movies and then announcing your departure in 2022 while committing to finishing the last couple episodes of an ongoing series anyways, unfortunate to see you leave storytelling behind but i look forward to whatever you end up putting out next. best of luck with it!

I still remember going to the computer lab and opening 10+ different tabs of your KZbin videos trying to get you monetized, this KZbin channel was your whole focuse and enjoyment. I’m still suprised that you were able to grow this channel this far but I knew you always had it in you. To be honest I’m suprised you were able last this long without a descent break. Keeping up motivation can be challenging, especially with additional stress and work put on by school and a discord, and I get your decision. Wherever your mapping career goes, I know it'll prevent mapping from becoming a chore and lead you to things you enjoy doing.

Missing the past hurts, the nostalgia hurts, I sometimes miss Tibet alot, and wish I could go back, but it's not possible and what happened, happened, same when it comes to people I know/knew irl.. It was good times, it was fun.. remembering the past hurts but I'm glad it happened, I had fun, It eventually lead to me finding someone to spend my life with, and it started with Tibet And Tibet started with you It was fun Chinese, best times I had - Angel_Freddy / Fem

I understand basically everything you said. When I owned my discord server and it got nuked by T-Series I was already burnt out and that was the nail in the coffin. And well I haven't posted any Mapping content in over a year even though I made a map for a series and started writing it I just never got to actually doing anything as it takes so much motivation. I still support you until the end.

Understandable. Also, yes dude. It takes so damn long to make a mapping episode, it’s unreal. I haven’t even released my first one (which will be about 10 minutes) and it’s taken more than 24 hours and I’m finally getting into makes the slides and the editing which will also take forever knowing me. Granted, that includes the time from the start of finding the right programs, to figuring them out, to deciding how to do it, actually doing it, and making a script. Hell, I had to remake my map all over again because of how technical the app is that I’m using (it’s not meant for mapping in any way, shape, or form, but it’s what I’ve got) and remaking the map took me probably 6 or more hours. All that was so demotivating for me that it’s taken months to get to this point, it’s pretty hard to start when it’s setback after setback and then all I’m left with is a couple terrible apps (and all of it on an iPad). I commend you for going at it this long.

@@ilisian Thank you. I am curious though, which programs do you use? And do you have to pay for them if you do? I currently struggle with sketchbook and InShot. It works, but it’s so tedious.

@@1americanproductions I use Ibis Paint for the mapping, but an app called Medi Bang also works. And InShot is a good app, but Kinemaster is also pretty good as well.

It’s been a while. I completely agree with your decision to not restore Tibet. The truth is that well… we all moved on. Our lives progressed onward naturally and it’s understandable to become demotivated with a past interest. It sucked that things didn’t work out but that’s ok. The times were good, but it’s the past now. I was happy while it lasted, and I’m happy that I met many great people from it including you. Until next time I guess… o7
