Is it realistic to be able to live in Indiana and need Cincinnati Children's (specifically)? I'm not exactly wanting to live in Ohio, but have to use C.C. Indiana seems exactly what i'd want for my family especially Fisher's, or Carmel. Coming from Tx I have no idea how easy it is to travel from place to place.

You could look for housing in Danville, Avon, Brownsburg, and Plainfield. Just depends on how far away you can tolerate.

Hotpads is a good place to start. Our local MLS does list rentals but it's a small percentage of everything that's out there and available.

Yes but it's limited. Also depends on the price range. Any land near the center of Carmel is going to be much more expensive.
