Shohei’s true value is not in his ability to hit home runs and throw strikes. It’s his ability to bring eyes to the game. He could be MJ of baseball and he needs to go to a contending team and win a chip to bring even more eyes and more paying customers to the game.

But his ability to bring eyes to the game is because of his playing ability. If an MLB team just wants eyes on the game, they could sign Taylor Swift or some other pop star. No GM looks at a situation like "hmm, lemme sign this guy because of better tv ratings." Their jobs hinge on their ability to put a winning team together.

Shohei didn't follow but he forced to get the attention of this chaos because pp kept calling him to see if he got on the flight while he was lying on the coach with his dog in LA. And the next morning as a memorial day for Shohei (same date for entering the Japanese Professional team Fighters & had Press Conference entering Angels at Japanese time, not US time), he announced of choosing LA Dodgers himself in Instagram as he planned! Time frame is important, it's NOT Dec 8! It's Dec 9, according to Japan Time!

He was shocked & upset by find out the chaotic situation while even his families even called him to see if he were on the plane while he was sitting at a coach in LA with his dog😂.
