JULY UPDATE 2023:
Unbelievably, in July 2023, Alicia walked into a police station and identified herself. This was 2000 miles away from her house. The police say she seems “in good health and happy”, and we wanted to share the news with you all while we await more information.
To have some degree of closure and the outcome we were all hoping for is extraordinary and we will keep you updated with anymore developments.

---
In September 2019, Alicia Navarro disappeared from her house, in Glendale, Phoenix, Arizona.
She climbed over the fence in the garden, and disappeared into the night. She took only a few items with her; including her iPhone, MacBook, some makeup and a comic book.
But the chargers were left in her room, as was all her medication.
Neither her iPhone or MacBook have been used since the morning she went missing, and no one has seen or heard from her since September 15th, 2019.
This is the story of Alicia Navarro.

huge red flag for me "mom when are u going to sleep" i knew right away she was gonna sneak out to meet up with him.. probably a grown man posing as a teenager hence the comic book thing... all these online predators are not very original same old tricks and they hang out on gaming sites cuz they know kids are on there... she was being groomed.. and the body spray and things were probably his idea and gifts from him to make her feel special and more grown up hence the sudden social stuff and the sudden confidence... she was the perfect target... very sad

As soon as I heard Alicia had asked her mom when she's going to sleep, alarm bells started ringing. As you say "A huge red flag". I would have definitely kept an eye on her to see what she's up to. The whole story looks like a classic grooming case. The person she met online was definitely not who she thought it was, and my money is on her meeting and chatting in a game room. And as she was reported as being a coder and tech savvy, she was probably covering her tracks with her online activity. I don't think Alicia is ever coming home, if she does, it would most likely be in a body bag. The sex traffickers ply their victims with drugs and they've probably taken her out of the country. I feel so much for the mum, you can hear the pain and sadness in her voice. I hope Alicia is still alive and unharmed but the chances of that are pretty slim.

Normally yes but the girl is very smart and very tech savvy. As someone with autism I can tell you two effects are high intelligence and being meticulous. When we focus on something we focus to the exclusion of everything else (you could fire a gun next to me when I'm focused and I wouldn't notice. Lol I once read a novel during a car accident at 100 mph and never stopped reading). It also makes us almost OCD about doing things perfectly when we do them. Anyway she would have known her phone and PC could be tracked if she ever used them, she only took them to keep the cops from looking in them....which is why she didn't bring the chargers.

This is terribly disturbing. Alicia apparently met someone online, hence the $200 comic book, and they have taken her. It’s been almost 2 years and though I think Alicia had every intention of coming home, someone else had other plans for her. This is a parents worse nightmare not knowing we’re their child is, especially a young lady who are more prone to be groomed and kidnapped.
@markcarpenter6020
@markcarpenter6020 2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't bet on her having planned to come home anytime soon. I have the same(though not as bad) issues as Alicia has. I can tell you without a doubt she was more competent than her mom thinks. If you need proof she would have left a lot more clues for the FBI. For example normally a girl not using her phone would be a red flag, but Alicia was extremely tech savvy (she even coded) she would know using either one would alert cops to her location and probably only took them to keep cops from going through them(which is why she didn't bother with the chargers) She is very very smart and also meticulous.(remember she even avoided the cameras on the neighbors house) When people like us focus on something we focus on it to the exclusion of everything else and are almost OCD about doing it perfectly. I'm not faulting her Mom, her Mom was going by what she saw but she wasn't seeing all of her daughter. We are bad at social interaction, part of how we deal with it is to play the part that is expected of us (remember the guy she was talking to online saying it was hard to tell what was real and what wasn't with her) it's the path of least resistance and easiest for us. Alicia would have had one personality for parents and teachers, a different (probably a lot wilder) one for friends, and a very quiet and boring one for strangers (so you can fade into the background). It's best not to think of her as someone who is mentally challenged. She has anxiety and trouble reading social cues, and even that's might not have been as bad as she lead her mother to believe (the fact she left her meds suggests to me that she hadn't been taking them before she left.) She is in no way stupid or deminished. This is me speaking from personal experience. I'm hoping nothing bad happened to her but it is just as likely that she was tired of playing the daughter role. It was getting too taxing and confining. The mental equivalent of wearing shoes that are too small. Edit: she was recently found and it looks like I was more or less right.

@@markcarpenter6020 - Watching the same story, I didn't get the sense that she was stupid or deminished but more naive and inexperienced as her mother accurately described. That's her missing baby. No matter how old you get, parents see you as such. When you have children, you will understand this. It does not matter if she methodically planned to runaway, she was only 15 yrs old and still a child, obviously influenced by someone pretending to be a harmless friend online. You can tell she loved her mom and had a close relationship with her. I do believe she naively thought she would be back after a couple of days or so, thinking the risk of seeing and spending time with the person she liked would have been worth the punishment she would have received from her mom. Unfortunately, I believe she was met with foul play. My heart goes out to her mother & family.

Finally someone else who realized it. I also suffer from autism and anxiety. And I can assure you that girl was a LOT more competent than her mom thinks. For two reasons. One people with autism are almost OCD about planning things out and doing them perfectly. We are meticulous and then some (which is why she avoid even the neighbors CCTV when leaving, took her phone and PC so the cops couldn't search them and even the FBI had trouble tracing her online activity) And 2 we are damn good actors. We have a lot of trouble with social interaction. One easy way for us to deal with it is to play roles. To be what we think people expect us to be(remember the guy saying it was hard to tell what was real and what wasn't with Alicia). @R T exactly. Having CCTV cameras in your residence, outside your residence, all around your neighborhood, and in public areas such as parks and car parks will help catch these monsters in the act. A lot of car parks and public areas in America don’t have CCTV and they really should because the police would be able to access that footage and see exactly what happened and exactly what everyone involved was wearing.

And it seems she has gone again, with a 36 yo man, that police doesn't know if he's related to the first dissappearence/kidnapping, but since she's legally an adult, they can't force her to come back to her mum's. A real horror story. Hopefully someday she could break free.

First I just want to say, this channel is SO GOOD. I appreciate how much work you put into every video. How much information you provide, how much actual footage you provide, no lazy ass stock footage - it is leagues above all the other true crime channels that just read a lazy script from wikipedia voiced over random ass stock footage and like, one picture of the victim.

I don’t think she will be found, if she was kidnapped for sex trafficking she would of been too much to care for and they just view the girls as disposable. Most likely a predator who killed her but she covered her tracks so good that clues are few Sadly many kids hide their tracks too good. I do believe she thought she would meet up with a “friend” but didn’t realize it was a kidnapper

Don't underestimate Alicia. I have autism and anxiety myself 3 things about autism. We are highly freaking intelligent. We are meticulous as heck. When we do something we are almost OCD about doing it perfectly and we plan out what we do trying to think of and cover every possiblity (we really really hate surprises). We are also often very good actors. We have trouble reading social cues so it is usually easier for us to play roles.(remember the guy saying it was hard to tell what was real and what wasn't with her) For our parents we try to be(at least what we think) they want. We will have a different personality with close friends, and around strangers we will be quiet boring and blend in so we don't trigger our anxiety. Even if she is safe don't expect to find her unless she wants to be found. She isn't your average teen that does things on a whim. She will have planned what she does over days, weeks or even months and will be careful to the point it borders paranoia.

@@chrissiepretorius3101 yeah there's so much, I think she was being groomed in various ways online but the leaving wasn't to meet someone from there, from the start L.E backed up by mum said AN was so tech savvy she made herself untraceable, but I believe that was said because they simply couldn't find what they expected, plus someone so tech savvy would they be so easily groomed? Mum also brings up often that she herself didn't know the online dangers but had previously taken AN offline and had involved the school and even gone to the police who weren't interested when an adult male was messaging AN asking what she would do if he was her teddy 🤮. And being a mum of 3 myself with one ASD child (ages 14yrs 9yrs and 5yrs) internet safety is taught to us as parents from very early on, most schools switched when my eldest started at age 5, from writing on paper to writing on tablets and computers, here from age 11 secondary school they are given laptops to do homework on ect, I don't believe mum didn't know the dangers but like many believed that as AN was in the home and knew not to give her personal details she didn't need to monitor as strictly as she should have, but I believe as so much of ANs world was online the real life dangers were ignored. That comic plays a big part I don't believe she had her mum buy that for AN or for her to give someone she met online, that was for someone AN knew on a personal level it's rare enough to be traceable, I don't believe she had a burner phone either as her friends claim, why would she need one we know she wasn't monitored online so it's unlikely her phone was monitored and even if she did hand it over for weekly checks if she's so tech savvy she wouldn't need a burner phone she could hide what she needed to anyway.

We know AN didn't walk away as neighbours had CCTV as well and she wasn't seen she alone wouldn't have figured that out she would have only thought about not being caught by her own parents not by others. I am slightly on the autism spectrum and although I was a smart child and a good student, socially there were things I just did not understand. In my teens I started chatting online a lot and came across a predator who in my young, naive eyes was a friend. He sent me a one way plane ticket to his house, out of state and I was seriously planning to go see him. My mother saved my life by giving me a stern talking to and putting a stop to my plans and I now know I most likely would have never made it back home. I will forever be thankful for my mother and how she saved me.

My son went missing while in school for 45 minutes and it was the worst day of my life.That was only 45 minutes. Because of some teachers neglect, which by the way I got him fired because of it. Imagine this Mother is going thru. I am impressed on how strong she is. I couldn't feel the ground under me while walking trying to get to school when my son was missing. The parking which should only takes 5 minutes of walk felt like it was hours and I couldn't get to it fast enough. My mind was scrambled and didn't know where and what I should do. As a mother you always feel the worst when your child is sick. But at least you are around to take care of them. Sometimes you wish as a mother you can take away the pain. But when you have no control over things to protect your child even when you are around...you feel hopeless. A child missing is another level. Where you are not there at all to protect your child FROM anything or anyone. I just wish children would listen more to their parents. Because they have no idea what this world can do to a defenseless child. A stranger or a predator will not take a second look at you as a child to inflict harm on you. You may think they are nice to you while they are grooming you. But watch how fast they come out of that skin once you are alone with them. Children here is what you all have to remember. People who do not belong to God walk amongst us all.We don't know who they are. They are like snake with 2 skin. They can change at any given point of time. Parents tell your children the truth about bad people and what they can do. Not telling them that strangers can Kill them or harm them is not protecting them. It is asking them to trust others or better yet that strangers are only that strangers. That they are harmless. That the word stranger is JUST a word. Tell your children that Strangers are Dangerous. They need to keep this in mind. That they cannot trust ANYONE. That the only one they should listen to is their parents who are good parents. (Well even sometimes some parents harm their children).... Well I guess ask your children to always be aware of their surroundings. Don't believe everything they hear from friends & always ask them if they have anything they might have in mind. And parents make sure you don't embarrass your child when they ask questions. So you can gain their trust to tell you everything. When they make a mess and admit to it, don't get mad at them. Be neutral so they don't start lying to you. Tell your children the truth. If not they will become the next victim.

My daughter also went missing from school one day. My daughter was very premature and tiny as in she was in 12-18 month baby clothes at age 5 tiny, she also still needed a afternoon nap so she went to school with her bottle of milk and blankie so she could have a nap. One day i get a call from school saying we can't find her I didn't worry as I knew she can't have got far as i said to them how can you lose her she can't even reach the door handle so she can't have got far. They said they searched the play ground and classrooms and they just couldn't find her anywhere. And she wasnt answering when shouting her name i did ask why they thought calling her name would help they said so she can hear us calling her why wiuldnt we call her, i said think about it and she said oh dam your right there is no point calling her as she can hear us ( daughter is deaf ) They asked how i could be ao calm , they were all in a panic by then, i told them them she cant have gone too far as she cant reach the door handle to leave school or her classroom, so unless someone came and took her she will be in school, and you would notice someone who should not be there coming in, they said one of the kids had left the classroom door open so thats how she must have got out, i again pointed out that she still cant reach the other door handles so she will be in the school somewhere, I then it hit me and i asked what time it was they said 1pm why I said oh do me a favour go check rhe fridge to see if she has she taken her bottle of milk out and if so check her draw to see if blankie is there they checked and said both were gone i laughed and said she gone for a nap she will be in the warmest and most cosy place in the school so knowing my daughter she will be in the libary as that is the warmest place and there are lots of huge floor cushions to sleep on, they ran to the libary to look she said I can't see her but all the cushions are missing I said find the cushions you will find her. A few seconds later she said found her she has made a nest behind the bookcases next to the radiator and she's fast asleep. The teacher again asked why I was so calm when they were so worried and in a panic for the past hour i told them i knew she would be somewhere in the school as she cant get out and people needed to be let in by staff so it was obvious she wasnt kidnapped. When i picked her up the teacher showed me a photo she had taken, my daughter had got her milk and blankie and gone to the libary she had taken all the cushions and made a nest next to the radiator curled up and gone to sleep she said I had to take the photo as she looked so cute. After that day they provided her with lots of cushions in her clasroom and told her she got to choose where she wanted to build her very own special den she again chose next to the radiator where it was warm and they helped make her a tent out of blankets and covered the floor with cushions and gave her a fluffy blanket, so she had her very own special place to go to when she wanted a nap, she loved that den and was so proud of it and showed to anyone who came to visit her class she finally out grew the need for naps by age 6 but for over a year she had her very own special place to go to sleep in. Her teacher said my daughter would just get up go to the fridge get her bottle then go get her blankie, she would then grab a teddy from the play area and take herself to her den curl up and sleep she said the times she was so tempted to to just join her as she always looked so comfy she said that child can sleep anywhere. My daughter did ask her teacher why she got to have her special den and she was told because this way we know where you are and that way we wont have another day of panuc and worry thinking we lost you, my daughter though that was hilarious 🤣🤣 I'm so pleased you little one was also found safe and sound I know how worried uou must have been, I know I wasn't worried the day the school lost her but we did lose her and her brother in IKEA once and I did experience the panic, fear and terror you would have that day, they had jid round a corner to jump out at us and we list sight of them the whole place was locked down until we ground them now that was a very very scary 30 minutes 😳 I hope you and your family are all happy and well xx

Just an idea so don’t come for me please. Anyone in the comic world know that comic? Bc it is so expensive and rare could someone in that community ask around. Has anyone sold one? Recently started showing one off? I think the comic book stuff is related. Someone was taking adv of her.

I hope by posting this video it brings up new leads. My heart breaks for this mom! I have a daughter that suffers from severe anxiety and I can’t imagine not being able to know if she’s ok!! Children that suffer from this need extra care so not being able to know if she’s safe is just unimaginable!! I’m going to pray for Alicia & her mom and hope that her daughter will be returned to her one day.

Oh this breaks my heart. I have Asperger’s and didn’t find out until I was 33 years old. I remember being her age and being so confused about myself, but trying so desperately to fit in with people and having the worst anxiety around going out and doing basic everyday activities. I still to this day hate crowds as my anxiety shoots through the roof. I truly pray she is still alive and that if she is being held captive, that she can escape and if she has met with foul play that her family get answers soon. My heart aches for her mother, my son has autism too and the anxiety I have for him on a daily basis is intense. I cannot imagine what it would be like for her. 😔

So heartbreaking and just terrifying. I truly hope she is found safe it’s been so long now each day that passes makes it harder to expect her safe return. Makes me just sick we have these freaks in public or online luring children away

I’m glad she’s now ok, but the video of her talking was uncomfortable watch, and a 14 year old could not have survived for this long without the help of an adult. It’s scary, and I hope the police can get to the bottom of it.

Thanks for another video - I'd never heard of this tragic case and this missing girl before. No doubt the man responsible for her appearance had her buy the comic book as a pretense to meet up with her (so he could get it) and probably told her to bring her laptop and phone too, just to make her feel comfortable. A still of the white truck should have been on the posters and billboards too.
