I think the reason why penguin killed Vic was Vic saw oz at his worst times where he was the most vulnerable, that made Oz think that It would hinder his progress of taking over Gotham city. Oz considered him family and loved him kahi na kahi but he almost lost to Sofia due to his relations with his mother, who was his family. The guy is seriously so ruthless and narcissistic.

I think Batman uss time par abhi bhi relief waale kuch kaam mein laga hoga. Side by side Alfred ko bhi dekh raha hoga aur crime fighting kar raha hoga but uss level par nahi jo humne usko movie mein dekha thha. Kyunki woh koi bhi action lene se pehele ache se intel/info ko collect karke rakhta hai, jo uske kaam aati hai baad mein. Aur usne expect nahi kiya hoga ki itni saari chizen kuch hi dino/ hafton mein ho jayegi. I think Batman 2 mein uska prologue jaisa kuch hoga jab woh yeh saari incidents ko address kar raha hoga aur nigrani rakh raha thha something like that...

Till the last moment I somewhat rooted for penguin. But choking vic felt personal. They didnt make penguin anti-hero but actual layered villian. I hated Penguin for what he did to Viktor and what he did to his brothers but I still rooted for him to succeed. The character and performance of Sofia Falcone was top notch. Dare I say she even outshined Penguin in many portion because she is very intimidating. Her presence made the show even more interesting and the 4th episode was my favourite of the entire series apart from the finale. Having said all this I still wanted Sofia to fail and Penguin to get everything he wanted. Am I the only one who feels this way?

I think the reason he killed Victor was that he didn’t want any weakness just like with his mother where he could be vulnerable or blackmailed. You can see that as soon as Victor calls him ‘family,’ his expression changes. In this episode, even Rex says that he is not loyal, just greedy. I’m glad they made him a villain in the end.
