@@abhi565b I think they were exception, and diamonds in our coal of ministers, CDS took a lot of hear from IAF Chief RKS Bhadauria because he believed in doing what's right and required for contemporary rather than too much attachment to orthodox practice and Manohar Parrikar was defense enthusiast, like gadkari and ashwini vaishnav are infra and railway enthusiast, Rajnath Singh is an excellent home minister, he almost finished the naxal movment but when it comes to defense he seems average, it appears like after Manohar Parrikar whatever proactive approach is shown in defense by Cabinet then it is the PM himself.

Sir I understand the frustration, but this KF21 program was started in 2002 and on the basis of ideal timeline of 20 years it is in its trial phase. Our AMCA program was started getting funds in 2013 so we can't expect it before 2032 but yes the delays are because of the monopoly of HAL and ADA and also our previous government is not that much intrested in it. But all we can do is wait.

Hah good reply to Alpha Defense. Did yall notice ISRO managed to design and even test glide their hypersonic launch vehicle in the meantime. I feel if ADA could have worked with ISRO instead of HAL it will get far better pace. None of us realize that HAL is merely a soviet plane repair and maintenance hangar. Simple example: you take your broken TV to a electronics mechanic he tells you an entire pcb needs to be replaced. Instead you take it to an engineer he traces the PCB tracks and finds out the popped capacitors and replaces those. HAL seems to be that mechanic who think designing new parts is impossible , we need engineers (real ones).
