WHO WE ARE:
We are Christina, Katherine, Lisa, Amy, and Lauren Cimorelli, 5 sisters originally from Northern California who are now based in Nashville, TN. We grew up singing in a big family of 11 children and our mom, a classical pianist, taught us to sing in harmony when we were kids. We got our start in musical theatre productions, doing classical pieces in the church choir and performing barbershop harmonies at nursing homes for the elderly (back then our grandma was our agent).
In 2009, when Christina was 18 years old and Lauren was 10 years old, we posted a cover of us singing Party In The USA that ended up going viral. From that video, we were discovered by a manager in London, and shortly after signed with Universal Music Group under Island Records. We moved to Los Angeles in 2010, where we lived and worked in the L.A. pop music world for 5 years, before getting extremely burnt out. We realized a major label deal wasn’t for us, left our label and moved to Nashville, TN, looking for a new start. In 2015, we officially became Nashville-based, independent artists.
Since then, we have written and released 5 albums of original music, toured all over the U.S., South America, and Europe, performed at festivals in Germany, Spain and the Philippines, wrote a book, Believe In You: Big Sister Stories and Advice on Living Your Best Life, started a podcast (The Cimorelli Podcast) and reached over 1 billion views on our KZbin channel. Currently, the 5 of us sisters are embarking on new journeys of marriage and starting our own families (Christina, Katherine and Lisa), and figuring out life as twenty-somethings (Lauren and Amy).
Our goal with our KZbin channel is to constantly challenge ourselves to grow creatively, and to make videos and music that is positive, uplifting and innovative. Our Christian faith guides our decisions, and we will always create content that is family friendly, while not being afraid to touch on topics that we believe are important, such as mental health and personal growth. I just went and checked out Chad's instagram account. Because we've had a lot of cancer and other illnesses in our family, I can be a bit blase about such things. I didn't realise how rare his cancer was and how long he's been fighting it like a complete warrior. My goodness, their family is going through so much, and his willingness to share his journey is truly inspiring. Here's hoping that this year is Chad's year, and that he can find himself clear of this awful cancer and regain his physical abilities, all the while becoming pain-free. I really wish that for you, Chad. Here's to your 2024. With love from my family to yours x ❤

My 7 year old daughter has brain/spine cancer so I feel Lisa’s pain. When your whole life is turned upside down watching someone you love battle cancer while the world keeps turning and life rolls on for everyone else is the hardest thing. Praying hard ❤

I appreciate this update so much. I'm not on TikTok or Instagram. I find both difficult to navigate with a screen reader (I'm blind). I think this new attitude with the channel will work out well! It feels like a rebirth, somehow. In the last few years it has been less and less spontaneous, and giving up the weekly schedule seems a wise choise to me. Also I'm happy with the new music project, we've been waiting ages for that! Since SGC in 2018! I was so happy in 2015 when you broke free from the major, dropped the RAW Hearts on Fire mixtape, did the European tour (wooohhh!! one of my sweetest memories of those years!!) and after the ILYOW EP you basically just put out a few singles! I think that a good cover a-month and a 2024 album to showcase your musical talents will attract old and new viewers - and please, you don't need overediting stuff, just show your raw talents like you used to do a long time ago (and apparently in Don't think about it too! loved that!) and you'll amaze everyone!
