This case gave me the chills! 110% Chuck killed her and the mother knew everything. I believe he was the one who raped her, got her pregnant and killed her and the mother was totally aware of the whole thing. I'll bet when he mentioned she ran away again, that was information meant for the kids and not Candace because she knew she exactly what had happened to Monique. It literally made my hairs stand when he sent the kids to say Goodbye and they mentioned she wasn't talking or moving. She was definitely already dead. I find it disgusting her mom didn't even care that this man did this to her daughter and chose to stand with him. Ugh. Oh my gosh, I feel for Monique. I pray she gets the justice she deserves.

Monique was born 6/16/1976 in Biloxi Mississippi. My mother divorced my bio father because she faced trouble also as she was the one who orchestrated the abuse. When she ran away it was because she had to get away from Chuck. She turned herself in to the OKC police. She was gone for 5 days. I was not allowed to speak to her. I was kicked out of my own room for more than a year. I slept on the floor in my brothers room. I know now why he didn't want me in mine, and my sister's room. Keep in mind, the "party" with beer bottles and cigarettes everywhere would have happened on a Tuesday morning. Why would she have a party on a Tuesday morning? It was all staged. Everything my parents have done since 6-2-92 has been a cover up of my sister's murder. The neighbor who reported her missing somehow recalled the day and time he saw her almost 2 years later when Monique was reported missing. Chuck and Candyce told the entire family he filed a runaway report right after Monique went missing. In the police report, he lies 3 times about what police department came to the house. In 2013 my brother, Charles, Chuck's son, told me he saw my stepdad strangle my sister. He has since moved in with my parents and says Monique was fine that day. He gave me exact details about what she said, what he said, and what she was wearing. Monique was reported missing the same day I was. I ran way from home 1/23/94. My parents reported me and Monique runaways. My parents abuse was not just physical, sexual, and emotional... the psychological torture they put us through can never be understood. My heart breaks for Monique. It has hurt ever since the day she was taken.

I also want to add that when I ran away from home to tell on Chuck, he went AWOL from the USAF for 3 days. I was warned he was coming for me and he was armed with his guns. My brother admitted to me that when Chuck returned he smelled terrible. I am afraid he went back to where he hurried her and made sure she would never be found.

Burton Landman- biological father Candyce Daniels- mother Chuck Daniels- step father to Monique , Angelique, Brian, and Andrew (all Burton's bio kids) bio father to twins Charlie and Bruce Ages at the time of the murder Chuck 32 Candyce 36 Monique 15 (2 weeks before 16th birthday) Angelique 14 (just turned in April) Brian 12 (13 in July) Andrew 11 (just turned in February) Charlie and Bruce 8 (9 in August) Aunt Leslie worked tirelessly to get the police, CPS, or the USAF to act 6 months after this happened. It took that long because the family was told there was already a runaway report (which was false.) The USAF had full knowledge that a child was missing, that their were allegations of abuse, that my parents plead no contest to a child abuse and neglect case I filed in Michigan. Instead of holding my parents responsible,the USAF granted a transfer to Germany for my parents. CPS claimed they couldn't touch my parents because they were in the service. The police believed my parents until I came forward and told that Chuck forced and coerced me to write fake letters and pretend Monique called home. The courts granted my emancipation and I didn't have to return to their home. I truly believe this decision by the courts, saved my life. I do not think I would be alive if the forced me to go back. My Aunt is still very much my hero.

The pregnancy test box makes me think maybe Monique got pregnant again and refused to get an abortion. Chuck was enraged and killed her and the mom was in on it or is protecting him
@taeaubrey43095 жыл бұрын
Melissa Taylor I agree. I also believe he was the father of both pregnancies and when she refused to terminate the baby both of the parents were enraged and planned the murder. In an interview with Angelique during Moniques disappearance, she her mom and her brother were on trip with their church and the mom was acting strange which makes me believe Monique’s murder was premeditated. They’re both evil and cold hearted and I hope that justice for Monique will be served soon.

It's abundantly clear both parents had something to do with this and I find myself getting so frustrated with the police in too many of these cases, it's such a shame.

My theory is since the mom is attracted to the wrong type of men, Chuck (the stepdad) like all the other boys thought Monique was attractive and started to sexually abuse her and got her pregnant which is why chuck wanted the abortion so badly once Monique said no they started arguing things got crazy then he killed her, the mother knew this and didn't care since she was probably jealous and angry...RIP Monique.

miss marie Ive thought the same thing as well...my only question is if Monique knew he was the father of the baby, why wouldnt she agree to an abortion? Why would she want to have his baby? I honestly wouldn't even count what Daniel said. The poor kid was so young and in the hands of some truly insidious people. Human memory is very unreliable and young kids are susceptible to manipulation. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole story about Monique saying she was sick and hugging him goodbye was just something the dad fed into his head and made him believe. A planted false memory.

The part that my mind simply cannot get passed is the empty pregnancy test box in the bathroom. It matters a lot for some reason but I can’t figure out why. If this happened not long after her abortion then my thoughts are that because the time immediately after an abortion or giving birth is when women are the most fertile of all, I think she got pregnant again. Whether she had sex in the time she ran away or if Chuck abused her for any number of reasons. If she got pregnant a second time then I imagine that could be a massive trigger for him to flip out and kill her, perhaps even more so if it was secretly his doing. I think in the time of the Church choir outing , maybe she had been throwing up or something and Chuck forced her to check if she was pregnant and when it came back positive he killed her.

It's a really good theory, the only thing that's pretty much obvious is that chuck killed her. Or he had a very big part to play in her "disappearance"
@Emilleigh6 жыл бұрын
I think she didn’t actually have the abortion, and the second pregnancy test proved she was still pregnant. I also think that’s why Angelique’s letters (that Chuck forced her to write) said she had a kid (only six months later, he knew she hadn’t actually gotten the abortion).

You should definitely look into the case of, Sierra Lamar. She went missing a few years ago, from a town nearby where I live, in a town called, Morgan Hill California. An arrest has been made, but I believe they have yet to find her body 😔 it's a really sad, but intriguing case. She left for school early one morning, and never returned home later that day. Some of her belongings were found with male dna...I don't know all the facts because I have not really been able to find anyone who has really talked about the case in depth.

Sara Law I am from Gilroy!! Yes really sad he Antolin was convicted of her murdered. He got life without parole.

Gina oh wow, small world! I didn't know if he had been sentenced yet, or not. Thanks for the information! I just kinda feel like her case hasn't gotten enough coverage. So sad.

Sara Law yes I totally agree. I think he disposed of her body in a way that she will never be recovered..it is so sad. I’m interested to see what happens with the Keith Green case. That is also a huge one from the Bay Area

What I don’t get is why the local DA didn’t assemble a grand jury! With all the circumstantial evidences, I’m sure it would even been enough to put them on trial...I have seen trials won on less evidences! This is such a sad story. Shame on the justice system!

I 💯 think the stepdad killed her. It’s so sad. I believe he got her pregnant and killed her to shut her up. The mother knows but is covering for him. Heart breaking.

Can you please cover the Brooks family murder that happened in the Mathoura forest. It’s an Australian case and it’s very close to my heart as they were close to my family. It’s been 20 years and it’s still unsolved.
