My hometown! Jazz was a big part of growing up here. The sound is really rooted in blues, with artists like Pete Johnson and Piney Brown. And if you play an instrument, you owe it to yourself to go to the MMF on Friday and Saturday nights (if you can stay up late enough!). It's not necessarily a great place to have a career in music: there are a _lot_ of musicians. But then again, music isn't an easy career, even with a Berklee degree (and I've worked in IT with several Berklee grads).
