Welcome back, so good to be with you both again cruising. Love the pink hair, it was a surprise, but a good one. Loved the Breakfast boat. So cozy and great food. The scenery you cruised by are wonderful , the sheep especially. Great sunset. How are your calving pictures coming along? Loved the pigtail girl. May the weather get better, now you are on the move. Really enjoy you both. 🌱⚘️

Yeah!!!! What a nice treat for a Sunday evening on a. cold, windy night in what is still called…..for the moment…..New York 🤔. Love your hair Kris, rock it! Nothing like having a great breakfast at your doorstep. What a trip down memory lane that must have been for Andrew sitting on the Gongoozlers Cafe Boat and not only remembering the tree, the landscape, but having actual photos. Amazing. He needs a documentary about his life on Poacher. It was hysterical when you were talking about whether you need to stop or not and Andrew’s reaction. TREATS!!! I am glad at the end you had wine and treats and of course Matilda. Thanks again for a lovely evening filled with wonderful visuals and great narrative. 🤗❤️ 🐈⬛ Kathy

Story time : My kids and I were driving on some rural back roads, singing to music and enjoying the summer air by the ocean. As we drove by a field of sheep and two donkeys we noticed they seemed to be gathered around a sheep struggling on its back in a little ditch that ran through the field. We stopped and watched then convinced my son to go help get the sheep up even though he was not happy about the donkeys, they can be assessed at times🤣. He did manage to right the sheep and get it out of the ditch so came back to the car. He thought I might be in labor as it was panting and straining so much. We watched for a few minutes until the donkeys knocked the sheep back into the ditch😫we could only surmise that the donkeys were sadists or bored or maybe I was a bad sheep who deserved to be on its back in a ditch. 😂🤣 True story, we drove to the farmhouse to let them know that instead of protecting the sheep like they were supposed to they were playing tip the sheep, the buggers. Lovely to see a vid from you today, been a rough week and I so enjoyed the visit with you all🥰 scritches for Matilda baby🙋🏼♀️

I loooove your videos so much. They’re so beautiful and interesting. Could you show maps of what canals you’re on (or where you have been)? Us North Americans are so unfamiliar with the English canals! They’re fascinating!
@Daytona22 сағат бұрын
Napton Old Engine House arm supplied water at the top of the canal, via tunnels to Marston Doles Lock & the stream near Napton water point. I guess that it was the best place to drill a bore hole and the supply tunnels. I guess the canal branch served for coal deliveries and also as a water conduit. A nice functional bit of engineering.

Which year is this? Branch manager....love it. Am slightly irritated that this has interrupted my viewing of your video archive. Lost Wallace in the hired cottage garden this evening. It was raining. And dark. I went out. With a torch. Called him. No response. I thought, "sod the little fellow if he really disrespects me that much that he won't come back." Came back in and sat down with Cedric, his son, and a loyal chap. Then opened the door from the kitchen into the rest of the house and there he was. Now curled up at my feet. A reminder not to judge too quickly. No comment on your hair. I'm sure you know what you are doing. Cameras, glasses, yourself. I don't need to complete the thought. Many thanks. As always.

Thank you! My natural colour is a bit more plain dark blonde, but the pink gave it a sort of ginger tint! I'd love to be ginger all over but the maintenance is too difficult, alas!

What Joy! A new video. So here is an idea. You should write a children’s book staring the the two animal friends you see in the shot before the first lock. The sheep and cows are friends and now named Andrew and Kris. Lots of separate (chapters) - meeting the lock keepers, going to the market. Maybe chapter’s selected by viewers, subtitled for adults in the margins. Love the quote from Andrew of Leonard Cohn (…that how the light gets in). Just saying… contact me for details and I will make them up. Now I must start saving for a siltbuster.

Can you please advise me to the best used brand narrowboat to purchase?
@moffatt434 сағат бұрын
I have always wondered why people don’t have a 360° camera on the front of their Narrowboats and have a Monitor up near where you steer from but also have a monitor inside the Boat as well ( obviously with Bluetooth/wireless cables wouldn’t be a problem and phones/laptops or TV’s could be used for comfortable viewing of outside 🤷♂️). I think Security wise, I would have one at the front and one at the rear for when you are away from the boat as well for peace of mind ( vandalism is my main concern but obviously as more people are going Off Grid,burglary is increasing ( I know this because my Son is a Detective ). I think if I had the £ I would design a Boat so that it could be steered internally but also traditionally as well and rather than having the traditional Bow thruster it would incorporate a directional bow thruster that is linked with the Rudder but I would definitely do away with the Deep Rudder and Propeller system ( drive shaft ) and move over to Magnetic Drive alongside a Hydrogen powered Engine ( personally I don’t think that Electric Power is the answer ) but obviously leisure batteries we are still talking about Lithium ( until lithium becomes unobtainablium because of the Price and damage caused by Lithium Mining techniques !! ). Nobody tells people that ALL the mining equipment used is run on Diesel !!!! So how that saves the planet is a mystery to me lol 😂….. coincidence that 2024 had the highest carbon footprint and emissions since records began ? I think not 🤷♂️. Reclaiming rain water and boats that are more efficient by their building materials,why not fibreglass Hull’s and bodies ? More efficient heating systems using Solar ( my theory is making the entire boat more like a radiator so in summer cold water (reclaimed) can be circulated and in winter,hot water can be circulated ). Hot air heating internally because it’s only a matter of time before the CRT bans the use of ALL Fossil fuels. Now onto a Touchy subject of some of the abomination’s and most polluting boats and engines on the Waterways !. Some of these Boats and land based Hovels that you go past on your Travels ??? What are they all about ? Are these people who don’t like to conform to some sort of standards or rules or regulations ?. Love you guys and Love your videos and videography ❤❤
