Well, that's because Dan wasn't really one of the foundational LPers that Derek attributed the initial success of the original to. I forgot where exactly, but he ended up mentioning in a book or an interview that NL, MALF, Baer, RedPandaGamer, and MANvsGAME were the five he considers to be the catalyst for some of the first game's YT scene/success.

When you ride them for a bit, they get tamed and you can control them. After you bring that dude 2 turkeys (by riding them into the pen), you get something (not spoiling the reward). Also, if you bomb a turkey it turns into cooked meat and gives you +1 health.

nl is a smart guy, i get he misses things in games sometimes and im just spitballing but when he says "dunno what's up with you yet" i assume he means he wants to learn a little bit more about the actual gameplay of spelunky 2 before diving into npc stuff although the egg could be scrambled, and i could be wrong

@@zix3562 Well he DOES try to solve the riddle at one point, though he brings a dead turkey and the npc flips out so I will give him credit for trying. Unfortunately it does prove he doesn't know what's up yet, which is totally fine, the game isn't even out, I just think it's funny how unsure and afraid he is when the game looks preeeetty similar to Spelunky 1. Imagine if he was afraid to interact with npcs in his ds3 playthrough after playing ds1 so many times.
