It's going to be awesome. I got mine 2 weeks ago and they are so clever. They learn very quickly so be firm but nice...they'll take advantage hahahah. First week is rough so be prepared for the screaming and crying! All the very best to you and your little staffy 🐕

My staffy is terrified of thunder, so she had to go in her crate to avoid damage to herself or the house as she gets into a blind panic. To my surprise, she took to the crate at once, in the crate with a blanket over the top she feels safe and stops shaking, sometimes if the storm is a long one she will go to sleep

I just got a staffy puppy she’s 9 1/2 weeks old she’s crated at night seems happy to go in there at night just at the stage of teaching her that the cat is a friend the bulk of the time she is fine just has the odd time she is not

The only reason I clicked on it is because your thumbnail has a picture of May . Well close enough. She is my first staffy. Best dog I've ever owned she is now 2 years old and it's beautiful as the day I got her . The only problem we have really is separation anxiety issues. All I can think about is her at work and want to get home it's driving me crazy... All right thanks for the video

Mine never go on the top floor my house is brand new we only finished building it last year it's an eco house the bottom floor is oak so incase of an accident ( haven't had a single 1 ) but easy to clean and it opens into the garden, hats off to this handler he is fantastic I'm having a refresher course my other 8 are grown up lol , but the top floor is a no go area we sleep there not the dogs let them know who is boss or the tough love way as he described works extremely quick so eager to learn lol I love em 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

Do NOT leave your Staffy outside. They get very cold. You can tell what their body temperature is by holding their ears. My staffs usually sleep on a sofa BESIDE my bed. They love it.

I will get my little Staffy in a couple months. I'm thinking I'll be avoiding a crate for two reasons. First of all, I don't have all that space to add a crate in my house 😅 second, I got two cats. While the female one is old and she has established her own spaces (and I know she'll never like the puppy, as she doesn't like her cat brother, she'll tolerate 😁), the male is young, full of energy and really cuddly. Do you think his company could soften the puppy's anxiety the first nights, and maybe help him get used to the house a bit quicker? The dog would obviously have his own bed, even though we all know cats don't recognise property 🤣 so, to sum it up: puppy free in the house with a cat, recipe for disaster, or maybe a viable thing? As for "little spaces", I'm more oriented on a little fence that I can put up at night and/or if needed, but that I can pack away during the day

My pup is in crate when I'm at work. But I do let her sleep with me at night. She is 7 months. Should I stop letting her sleep with me Will Atherton? I have a older dog around 10 who also sleeps with puppy and I. I think puppy will have a fit if she sees Cody sleeping with me and not her?

We have been very very lucky with crate training our 8week old puppy has slept in his crate with no crying what so ever he is very happy in his crate and one morning even moaned because he didn’t want to get up 😂 but we are head butting over potty training and I think he is even marking around the house is this normal puppy behaviour?

@Carlos - the problem with breeding for colour is some people might breed from unhealthy dogs because they're the right colour as they know they'll get a premium when selling the puppies. These health problems could be pasted on to the puppies.

They suffer a bit more from allergies. Typically wet grass and chicken protein.

Can you do a video where you have a brief mention on if they tend to pick a fave human? My partner has had his staffy for 10 years before he met me and now shes my dog doesnt leave my side shes picked her owner is that normal ? I love her to bits but I feel bad for him his dog never sits near him unless asked to then she comes bk to me 🙈🥰

I just adopted a one year old amstaff female. She’s been in a bad fight with previous owners other pitpull females. (One had to be put down, and they gave her away.) Any advice ? She’s very timid and scared, and isn’t doing well on potty training. She won’t pee when I take her outside. She pees in the house. I’m going to be getting a crate this week to start crating her at night. How can I incorporate the crate with the potty training during the day?

Excellent video as per and I love the channel guys as my Blue male Staffy will be three years old on March 8th, 2021. That’s him in my profile pic...I have one question only please if I may? How much should my blue Staffy weigh now as he’s around 24/25 kilos and very powerful with it. He’s the short legged type so I’m wondering is he too heavy? He’s as solid as a rock with no excess fat on him? Only everyone who meets him seems to have a completely different opinion on how much he should be weighing by now? Cheers guys Mickey X

Hi there. Saw your comment. Standard says males 13-17kg (28-38lb's). My male is already around 20 kilos (43lbs) and he is just passed 1 year old. Solid. Exercised everyday, off leash across fields and woods for an hour each morning, and a 40 min walk on leash around town every evening. No fat on him. I wouldn't worry too much about the standard, unless you are showing him. Main thing is he is happy and healthy.

@@staffiebullterrier1006 He’s a big Blue Staffy and he’s in between short & long legged and like yours also he’s built like a brick? Not too musclebound, just very fit/solid and I had him weighed on Thursday this week at the vets for his annual booster vaccination and he tipped the scales at 26 kilos dead-on? The nurses and the vets all said he’s a big boy, and he’s weight is absolutely fine but they wouldn’t want him anymore than that despite him being between medium/large build...Cheers Fella 🤙🤙
