Same not our lakes but I still can't fish right now bc I don't have a truck right now so my boats pretty much useless right now and all the ponds are either frozen but not enough to walk on or slush of ice and water that's impossible to effectively fish

A suggestion for ponds. Add a flashy swimmer! They are extremely weedless, and the smallest is a 1/0, which allows you to use a 3.3 in keitech.

I cannot tell you how many lures I’ve lost on the cables and hoses on the fountain in my back yard. There’s well over $100 of rattle traps, dozens of drop shot weights, and plenty of snagged Texas rigs down there.

Next time you are in the leander/ cedar park area, you should fish Brushy creek lake park and lakewood park. With brushy creek lake there is also a stream section along with the pond.

Love the 100 ponds series and glad to see you banking in the winter. One of us! Regarding the fishing challenge, the problem with bank angling is hauling around a measuring stick is too cumbersome. :/ wish we had alternate measuring options. I haven't posed a few because of that.

I say you need to try to do 100 miles of shores of each great lake for a real challenge. Ponds tend to be an easy thing if you get local knowledge.

Love ya Ty, but you do so blatantly “the problem” with fishing today, the #1 question mark, is fishing a sport anymore , or is it marketing baits(marketing everything) regardless I like to watch and am subscribed as I too fish alot of the same exact gear, and am passionate and enthusiastic about angling and learning always, and I am basically a shore angler, exception I’ve been a kayak angler and now a tournament kayak angler and did local derby’s with my father John sr who did a few MLFs but he mainly fish at the time “north east team bass” a BFL, but I’m talking in like late 00’s- 2010.. I was young, 35 now and I relate to a lot of this… but it’s marketing 101. And painfully obvious to watch sometimes, and that’s what I don’t like , a character, I like a personality tho.. would like to see the evolution of TRF
