Well, Ashely always played Fearne as a pathologically curious button pusher, but I assume at least Ashley as a player if not even Fearne as the character were well aware that Zathuda was the most likely person to ty and lure her out of camp with an animal messenger. Any friendly NPC with a bond specifically to Fearne would have either visited openly or sent a straightforward message to her. But Ashley did say in one of the recent four-sided dive episodes that she was curious about having a conversation with Zathuda. During the first encounter with Otohan on the moon where she offered to surrender herself, she actually considered just going with them, see what Zathuda wants and maybe have a little villain arc.

I mean it’s why a lot of people think there may be sus things going on behind the table. Look at his fight as Otahan, didn’t roll below a 20 for 2 hours making 8 attacks per round makes every save with bane on her and she didn’t even use the backpack. Plays dariax, doesn’t roll above a 10 for two episodes, watches the party fall. Regardless of luck, the odds of probability all turn towards sus stuff, tis why many side eye Matt and his big bad guys.

​@@mosey4121Dariax has at most a +5 to most of his skills. Otahan had at least +15. Dariax is a humble sorcerer, finding his way in the world. Otahan was a being who had sucked up the power of multiple other more powerful beings, and was likely on the path to immortality like Ludinus. Also, mechanically, Dariax is a PC and Otahan is a MOB. Otahan is not bound by the player's handbook, thus multiple, multiple rounds of attacks, abilities, immunities, legendary actions and resistances, etc. The disparity between Otahan and Dariax makes plenty of sense.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually IRL making calls to former guest players with characters for whom it would make sense to join such a battle, to see who would be willing and available to make another guest appearance during or around the finale. It would certainly make a lot of sense for Arkhan to join the fray, we already know that the betrayer gods are calling their champions to action, too.
