Ouvir essa música me faz voltar no tempo. Era adolescente com minha humilde guitarra tentando tocar alguma música complexa do sylosis. Lembro que eu e meus amigos ficávamos impressionados como era tão pesado e usando afinação padrão com suas bases e solos de guitarra incríveis. Hoje tenho 30 anos

EOTE is hands down one of the greatest metal records of all time. Atmospheric, beautiful solos, full on thrash riffs, 200+ bpm bangers and awesome vocals. I hope one day we get a vol 2. Keep up the great work josh

The best album ever. 100% GOAT. When I heard From the Edge of the Earth years ago as a teenager I was smitten and in tears of joy. No band came even close after that.

I am jealous. I was somehow never exposed to Sylosis being a Metal head guitarist my whole life. Just got in to them a few months ago and I cant get enough of it. Learned about 5 songs already and i plan to learn them all. Its like Josh Middleton said, he was looking for his favourite band his whole life and never found it so he created it instead. I havr been looking my whole life too and i think i finally found it so i dont need to create one.

This is the song that changed the way I approach songwriting and music in general. It was the perfect marriage of heavy riffs with melancholic ambience while still maintaining a consistent sound. To this day I hope to run into Josh somewhere so I can shake his hand for writing this. Just absolutely brilliant.

I lost my Gma in September, my job in February because I blew another disc, July you sent my son a Cameo for his bday, and 11 days ago I had to bury my dog. Beneath Black Clouds, this song, and Absent are the only reasons I can still sleep at night. Maybe I'll see you in Detroit, MI in November with my boy and we can fist bump ya. Utmost respect.

9:00 for what it’s worth Josh… I was heavily into old school thrash. No music current to the time was appealing to my ear in 2012. First Sylosis song I heard was EmpyreaI(the nuclear blast music video). I was late to Edge of the Earth which was the first an album I heard from you guys. And it was the first album to completely put me “in the record”. Monolith also did the same for me and is my favorite sylosis album to date. Thank you for your dedication to your craft.

And it hasn't got ever since. The GOAT. I was so happy to have a friend back then who i could share this masterpiece

Always a pleasure to watch you play man arghhh... Such an epic time EOTE came out and the atmosphere and imagination that have haunted me in pleasurable ways over the years. Reminds me of gloomy forests of the UK when I lived over in London for a few years. All the British history from castles to meadows and treacherous landscapes. I would love to know your thoughts and meanings behind the ambience and how you picture your moods of your imagination, well the way you project it. There is always more to just playing the songs if you get what I mean haha.

I love your work man, EOTE was one of the first metal albums I heard when I was a teenager and to this day I feel that it marked me and gave me an identity at a time when I felt very lost. Eternal gratitude for this masterpiece and the tears of joy that still produces in me. A new album that follows EOTE's roots would be very nice, but I will truly listen to and enjoy anything that Sylosis makes.
