Been wondering if you'all were going to come out with that song. It was written in 1914, by William Golden from Webster County, Mississippi. He also wrote "A Beautiful Life". He wrote the songs while in prison for supposedly stealing a hog. It is debatable as to whether he was guilty, but he served eight years in prison. He was killed in a car wreck in 1934.
