This is a topic that isn’t talked about at all, when in reality, THIS is how you get the top of the top saber quality. It’s because of you that I went replica over Sabertrio. I would’ve gotten a Sabertrio but when I saw that Aniflex V2 you had installed it blew me away. I should have it back from Jeremy sometime in June! 1st saber I’ll ever own. If you want the top of the top quality, you gotta do what you said in the video.

I gotta say I am a very satisfied Korbanth Customer....got the hero surpreme installed, and it was incredible. The blade was perfectly lit, little to no shading whatsoever, and the hilt itself is beautiful. With that said tho I’m also a huge Lando fan lol....and I agree that the passive aggression and weird moods when interacting with support can be a little off putting. I understand it can be annoying to check in a bunch on an install order, but when a person has spent a very substantial amount of money on a saber, they want to see how it’s going....I feel like that should be better observed. Did they wire the blinking arrows in parallel for you? Mine only blinked together and weren’t customizable at all. Also, the emitter was threaded wrong and wouldn’t screw on. I sent it back.

Yeah no mine blink separately but I understand what you mean about the emitter. It can be tricky cause u need to pay a lot of attention to the retention screws....if they’re not screwed in tightly enough, then you’ll get resistance on the emitter and risk cross threading....they made a vid about it but it’s still a pain I feel u dude

I'd like to say, The Pach Store/Ultimate Works, in my opinion, are worth a look at. I love being able to take the core out of one hilt to use in another. 89sabers and Korbanth, I can understand why you mention them the way you did. I'm at 75% approval with them both. Hilts were great, installs are, well, they could be improved. My "Rebels" Ahsoka Tano hilts may go out to get rebuilt by a better saber smith in the future as the cores are somewhat lacking. Your listing of 10 replica saber sellers will be getting a good look from me. Thanks for having the links for them.

The only issue I would say is that it's definitely not a dueling saber, but a show piece. You can scratch up your hand if you don't wear a glove...but you don't want to duel with a Neo-Pixel saber anyway, lol.

I didn't have a very positive experience when buying my Graflex Supreme and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Long story short, I received a defective hilt that you would see up on TCSS as a "scratch and dent" for $110-$125...but, they made excuses for it and eventually offered a replacement in a not so pleasant manner...where I have to pay return shipping. Fool me once...

I'd also recommend checking out JQ Sabers based in the UK. They do empty hilts, custom installs of the hilts he sells along with parts. Got my Fallen V2 from there along with some parts and the overall service was great.

MPP is Vader's lightsaber from A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back (slight differences between the movies) and Graflex is Luke's from the same movies (again, slight differences between the movies). In Return of the Jedi, the lightsabers for both characters were different looking. I'm new to this too and it's a SUPER confusing rabbit hole world here lol

I’ve recently just purchased a proffie neopixel survivor (OWK) blade from Crimson Dawn still waiting for it to ship. I’ve done my own extensive research about the company I’ve bought one saber from there before and was very satisfied but this is my first neopixel blade, and I was curious to get your thoughts about it as it is fairly cheap for a replica proffie neopixel.

I bought a korbanth gl9 (installed, untouched by the first owner) secondhand and I was underwhelmed to say the least; the install was different from every other on the internet because their installs vary and there was absolutely zero board access, they offered for me to by the fonts I wanted, send it back with the fonts on a thumb drive to them and pay $25 per font for them to add them on the board. And the neo blade wasn’t that great. Don’t think that the install quality varying from day to day based on the “mood” of the installer is a good business practice.

Hey Lando, question. I know my question is kind of irrelevant for this video, which was great by the way. I have a Sabertrio Senza in the Neopixel setup and there’s a few fonts pre-loaded onto the saber which aren’t smooth swing. Is there a way to “import” or copy smooth swing files or sounds to a font which doesn’t do smooth swing by default? I’m just curious and I’m trying to learn some more about this to make loading fonts easier. I appreciate your help in advance my friend, keep up the high quality content. I’ve been a follower for a few months now.

If you check the Plecter Labs website, you can download the default package, which has those non-smooth-swing fonts that have now been updated to smoothswing. Kamino, Crucible, etc. were all recently updated to smooth-swing, so all you need to do is replace the files on your SD card with the new ones.

If you're interested in an Obi-Wan ANH saber, definitely check out Roman's MK-1. He found all of the pieces used to make the original prop and created his replica props based on them. You won't find a more accurate Obi-Wan hilt anywhere else. romanprops.com/history/

I too have had some very negative experiences with Korbanth, as well as with Electrum Sabercrafts (see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqDQpHh8qqdqe6s. As far as the Pach Store, I have several hilts from them: a Leia saber, a Luke Hero (the one with the blinkies), a Dark Obi-Wan, a Severance ( with a gorgeous crystal chamber), and another replica on the way. These are some of their high-end sabers, and hence more expensive. (I think their really low-end sabers are not very good.) I like the idea of their removable hearts, so that you can buy a pre-kit for a given saber and use the same heart in all their different sabers, so you don't have to buy lots of separate sabers. (The pre-kits sell out faster than the fully installed sabers.) My gripes: although I like their Asteria hearts, they are clunky to program, and their proffie hearts only come with the proffie stock fonts (unlike the Asteria heart), a major bummer in my opinion. I agree with Lando that their customer service is spotty. However, I would not continue to buy from them for the simple reason that Darkwolf now produces replica sabers with the Golden Harvest board for about the same price as the Pach Store replica sabers. Obviously, the GH board is far superior to the Asteria board and not as much of a pain to program as the proffie. And their GH sabers come pre-loaded with 47 fonts. Hope these comments are helpful to at least some people.

I think this video is great for people who are new to the saber scene. However, I slightly disagree with your thoughts on Korbanth. I cannot speak to their installs; I've never bought one of their installed sabers. I've heard both good and bad things about their installs. What I can speak to is their customer service. Randy, the owner, has been very helpful to me and others have said the same. He really takes the time to message you back after every little question, which is more than a lot of companies can say. I do agree though that they are now too expensive compared to other resellers. I remember like 2 or 3 years ago when they were offloading some stock and got some great deals! Now unfortunately with huge demand, I think those days are over. So overall, I think Korbanth is a pretty decent company to buy from, but as you said, there may be better ones.

Hey man, I've bought from a site recently that sells MHC parts, RIDICULOUSLY cheap. Like a 9 font exo SS complete chasis, with battery for $27, and a thin neck installed chasis with the neck for $99. As far as LGT snobs, dudes! Just don't, just stop. I love replica stupid high end expensive hilts, who doesn't? But I also really like MY hilt.
