However I have to tell the truth. I notice that in the various cities you almost always eat the same dishes. Now here as far as pasta is concerned, what you ate in Rome you are also eating in Milan. For example if one goes to Milan or Bologna (another city famous for cuisine. One of the most famous cities for cuisine in Italy) usually does not think of eating typical dishes of Roman cuisine (carbonara, cacio e pepe, amatriciana), but typical dishes of those cities. You should rather choose things that are typically regional or more typical of a particular city. Because in the end many who go to Italy almost always eat the same things, regardless of which city they are in. And most of the things they eat, is pasta and pizza, while our famous Italian cuisine offers tons of other things, outside of pasta and pizza, especially regional dishes.

Which places and dishes would you recommend to check out in Milan for regional taste?
@aris195610 ай бұрын
@@v_iika Places now I don't know because I'm not from Milan. But being Italian, you know a little bit in general what are the typical dishes in the big cities. Typical Milanese dishes are for example…. Risotto alla milanese, Cotoletta alla milanese. One can, of course, also search the Internet for certain cities for the typical dishes of that city, even seeing the pictures. For example, in Genoa "Linguine al Pesto," the famous dish of Genoa. In Rome the famous four typical Roman dishes (Carbonara, Amatriciana, Cacio e Pepe and Alla Gricia). In Bologna the famous "Tagliatelle or Fettuccine al ragù," etc. Then of course there are, as second course, various kinds of meat or fish specialties (if it is a city near the sea). Then of course the regional specialties, the various local specialties that change from small town to small town, in the various small villages, are endless. You always discover something new, not only as foreign tourists but also as Italians.

Watched this video and ate at Osteria Del Binari and Osteria Da Fortunata and looked for Luini. Luini - spot on! Really good and satisfying. Del Binari - I ordered the osso buco, the risoto was not cooked well, some of the rice have some pieces that are still hard and not fully cooked. The meat was tender and good. Osteria Da Fortunata - unfortunately is a big disappointment for me. I ordered the strozzapeti carbonara... the pasta was too firm, sauce was salty... maybe it's an acquired taste? But unfortunately not for me.

I wanted to try Osteria de Fortunata pasta, but was having my doubts whether a person feels full after one dish given the cost. What do you think? I'm definitely checking it out, can't resist it
@YangYummm10 ай бұрын
Oh yeah for sure. It’s a little on the pricey side, but totally worth it imo! Might not feel too full from one pasta so you could order an app or dessert.

@mmzt-x6b26 күн бұрын
I’m born and raised in Milan, as experienced traveller I kindly suggest to not consider July and August to visit Milan it could extremely hot there transforming your trip in a nightmare! The best periods to visit the city are definitely October march April and may. Also other autumn and winter months are not bad if you are not afraid of a little bit of cold (not so much anymore).

I as an Italian am very surprised about my countrymen, in a good way. Many years ago very few spoke English. Today in Italy a little bit everywhere people speak English with tourists.
