Okay so to identify shiny's they will have a special circle around them and a different color, PLUS they will ALWAYS drop and the first time it's gonna show a 5*(golden) item on your left side!

it's easy to identify the shiny. for example the turtle will be shiny when you found them before engage them in battle. based from what I saw at other people playing.
