Believe it or not, the LARGEST individual donation amounts have come from people I've never met in person but am acquainted with on social media... save one... the largest donation was from a connection of a connection. One big tip... that takes a lot of time... but worth it... one-on-one Facebook Messaging.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge here. I aimed high for my first kickstarter for my colouring book as I really had nothing but time to lose. I didn't get funded and I am now preparing to launch again asking for a more humble amount to get the ball rolling. I managed to raise half of what my new goal is in the last campaign. So I'm hoping this will get funded. Most of my backers were known to me as you say too.

Hi Salvador, thank you for very helpful video. I'm preparing a campaign (my 1st KS campaign) for my board game next November. I have not many friends and my family can't actually help a lot. I have some PR connections and a pool of creative media/game related students (I'm head of a Game Art/Animation department in an international colllege. Do you think that I can rely on (paid) soclal media advertisement, influencers and community building through my blog (starting this month) to build an initial core supporters cohort ? Thank you very much !

Very useful content. Thanks. We have a really unusual boardgame, the board lays out as you play, literaly billions of possibilities. The game comes on an app, trying to discover words from their meanings. This can be played in lots of languages and various levels of difficulty. We will need some help and guidance with the promotion and kickstarter campaign. The app is built and the game is ready to produce, we will initally plan to launch in the UK and USA This is our next step. A big boardgame in a little box.

Hi Salvador, awesome video as always! I launched my Indiegogo campaign last week and we're already 26% funded. I tried reaching out to targeted reporters and bloggers but I've received just 1 response. I'm not sure what to do to help my campaign grow and not become stagnant. Please make a video on better PR outreach and how to correctly pitch bloggers and reporters. Thanks so much!

Great Info Salvador, I got a question, On the area of buying advertising during the crowdfund. Would it be prudent to run a campaign to raise funds for advertising towards your main campaign, then run the main campaign. Would this be tapping the well of supporters to many times or would one explain what the first fundraise would be used for.

Hi Salvador, great video and lots of great information! Thanks for taking the time to put this together for new people like myself to Kickstarter. I have a technology product that is ready for Kickstarter and I have a website landing page up, but probably need a good month to create a proper story before launching. My problem is I don't have any social followers or an email list at this time. Is it a good idea to purchase Facebook ads before the launch to acquire possible backer interest at pre-launch?

hey @@KevinAlbert the patents can be looked at by folks in other countries like china or other places where the USA patent law may not reach... also a patent case in court can bankrupt a good idea before it gets a good start!! or a patent can be buried by big biz!!

1. yes, but how do you get that? What do you say and when? How do I set up my campaign? What should it look like and say? What should the rewards say and be? 2. How do I figure out if I have a produce that people actually want to buy into? And who can help me set that up? What I don't have 5000 people to send a campaign to? I listened to your latest podcast (thanks for the link)I took some notes on what that guy did and the resources he used, but it still didn't answer any of my questions specifically. Do you think I can get the questions answered above from the resources listed in the podcast?

Not sure HOW Crowdfunding would work for me. I NEED TO GET OUT OF DEBT, RESUME HAVING A LIFE, after having been shafted BIG-TIME. Looked after an elderly very sweet and generous gentleman for 8.5 years, with promise of reimbursement for his final expenses after his passing; even though I was named his Personal Representative in the Will, things did not work out. Dealt with an international situation; both his out-of-country sister and brother-in-law due to age and health issues were unable to inherit, while SWL's nephew (Heir #3), who had never even met his uncle, only became interested AFTER he found out about a million dollars were involved. He then turned "the matter" over to his UK financial counselor, and 'poof' bank accounts and investments left the US, with me responsible for all the debts. The nephew was a real "skunk', could care less about his uncle, me, or even his own parents - who are now also deceased!!

Hey Melinda, sounds interesting. If you'd like to discuss your project, here's the link to book a call with me: www.crowdcrux.com/coaching
how do you know what the best name would be to call your video--quick break down--I have gofundme account for Lori Pooler. She has got 6 weeks to live unless we come up with funds for experimental treatment. . Also I just, with the power and the ability to use my words to have the maximum impact, was able to help her son get out of jail on a tether(which I have to come up with a way to pay for, because they are broke) for a while so he can be with her in her last weeks. He will be told tomorrow, when he gets out, that she is dying----so I got him out, but it is too hear he is going to get devastated. Strange thing---- I am actually the victim of her sons crime that put him in jail to begin with. Home Invasion of the 1st degree-----I am the Victim but I tried and played a part i him getting out tomorrow on tether=====her son was my son's best friend--------I believe when he committed the crime, it was due to an addiction and it was the addiction that robbed me, not this person. I myself am going through a financial hardship and am going to need a gofundme account for me soon. How strange So very strange circumstances. If I did not know his mom was sick a few years ago, I would not have started to care for him, (I did not like him) so, got close, he has an addiction. I made him go to his first AA meeting and it was that night, at 4 in the morning, he got so messed up, he came and stole my pills. Him and his friend were very suicidal because that summer,---- their good friend, very good friend, was on the news an missing. I got so involved, the mother thought I was maybe hiding the girl out because the mother did not know me. the girl was found in the pond in the same complex that she ran from 12 days before threatening to take a hand full of pills.---i get robbed by my sons suicidal friends, I believe to commit suicide----I even told the police to check the pond, they might go there to die. There so depressed, their addictions get the best of them, they don't understand the magnitude of this disease. They get messed up and rob me and then here we are, at the end------------------I sent him to jail, I got him out---I told him his mother would be fine----she finds out a few days after he is in jail, that she only has 6 to 8 weeks. He is getting out, only to be told she is dying and spend weeks with her,-- but he will get rehab--- will still serve some time. Sad all the way around. No won wins-- The victim, cause she has to set up a gufundme account and is going to pay for the tether, -and has to ask her son to forgive his friend he just lost so my son loses also.Lori loses, because has cancer, her daughter loses when her mother goes and her brother, then goes back to jail, Jason loses because he had an addiction and does not know tomorrow, he is going to get the worst news of his life. Maddy, who died in the pond. And a little of piece of soul or spirit was taken from everyone. This is a Devistating story which addresses not one, but two MAJOR, IGNORED, proplems, that need so much more attention and research and different laws inacted. AWARENESS TO IMPORTANT ISSUES, INCLUDING LOSS OF COMPASSION, to be brought to the forefront. One day it will be this way I got cancer and the devil whispered in my hear" better"" hunker down, there a storm a comin, and I turned and whispered in the devils ear "BABY, I AM THE DAMN STORM and are now nothing but a mere raindrop WHAT DO I NAME THIS CRAZINESS, YET NEED FOR HOPE
