I think you should specify Money Market Funds, not just Mutual Funds in general. Money Market Funds were roughly tracking 20% returns last year and your principal (what you invested) remains secure. Not all mutual funds can boast of such.

I think investors should always put their cash to work, especially In 2025, we'll start to see more market diversification. Considering the performance of bitcoin lately it is safe to say the crypto market is the best smart investment out there. Hoping I'm not the only one with this thought

You're correct. I think the smartest way to go is to spread out your investments. By putting your money into different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and stocks from other countries, you can lower the risk if one part of the market goes bad.

Portfolios in both dollar and naira denominated equity is ur sure bet going into 2025. The reason being that the growth of the manufacturing sector, is likely to be anaemic in 2025; Inflation rate is expected in the upward trend. At least in the first quarter; while CBN is likely to sustain interest rate hike. Bottom line, there’s no consistency in Nigeria regulatory frameworks. Anyway, I appreciate your perspective in stocks and real estate markets; especially in urban areas. Let’s not forget the last quarter of 2025 when politicians will be warming up for party primaries ahead of 2026-2027 general elections. This’ll likely impact the flow of FX.

@@dromeanalytics4691 We don't need to complicate things for ourselves here. If I state that I don't expect it to rain today and you see me going out of the house with an umbrella, won't you look at me as a fool? I mean nobody forced me to take a position that it is not going to rain today. My problem is making a statement that you expect the exchange rate to be stable and then you still go ahead to hedge against fluctuation. It's literally speaking with both sides of the mouth and predicting the two opposite ends of an event to happen. If you don't expect it to rain, it's simple don't leave the house with an umbrella to stand behind your prediction, unless you don't trust your statement.

Sir, please take a critical look at our national budget 2025, so you appreciate we are going nowhere. In real terms ,the 2025 budget has been found to be less in value than 2024 and the previous. A 70k minimum wage today is less in value than 18k of the past. A bag of rice was less rhan 18k minimum wage. But today, a bag of rice is far above 70k minimum wage. Not all states are paying the 70k. NACCIMA is lamenting . They can't borrow from banks for production. The interest rate is too high. We need to stop the unrealistic expectation and face the reality of poor governance and corruption. The budget is littered with inessential recurrent expenditures. I guess your advocacy is for hot money ,portfolio investors. We cant develop that way.

Does your whole business have to be a one-man show? I don't mean to be ageist, but why can't you get a youthful person to also front these videos? Or at least host in collaboration with a young person. Come on, chief. Many young readers will be put off by the thought of watching just one old man ramble monotonously on finance and the economy. Again, I don't mean to be ageist. But there should be room for the young and the old, and you're just not creating it.

I believe you are young. Why not start your own show and gather other young people? You just discovered an opportunity to blow ooo

There are other segments of Nairametrics videos that feature younger presenters and people. Ugodre is doing absolutely well and all that's needed is to mop up insights and trends from him. Lastly, forget about the emerging white hairs. Ugodre ain't old to me because he speaks with eloquence and good diction while he looks very fashionable and dapper in his dress suit and shirt.
