Getting ready to retire,would love to retire in WV,was born in Wheeling,however moved to FL at 6 months old. Looking at Oak Hill maybe,what are your thought about that area ?

@@yellowstone2964 People love to retire in WV; probably because our slow laid back culture. I have actually never been to Oak Hill, but it looks like it is just a little below Fayetteville and the New River Gorge. There will be plenty of outdoor activity if that interests you. Also, a little south is the Tamarack; a great spot for admiring local artisans.

If you like harsh winters oak Hill/Beckley area is for you. At an elevation around 2,000’ they get a lot more snow than other parts of the state.
