Third video idea; splurge or save on “internal” beauty. hair vitamins, skin teas, hyaluronic acid pills, collagen powders, etc... they’ve boomed in the last few years. Are they science backed? Or do they make claims similar to at home devices, as in yes collagen is scientifically backed but at home supplementation won’t make that much of a difference. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Yes please!! My dry/reactive skin has such a hard time with AHA BHA and even PHA. But my skin simultaneously NEEDS those ingredients to tackle my pore problems. So idk how to find a good balance/routine that won't irritate my skin even more.

My favorite exfoliating mask is Paula's Choice AHA/BHA 10-minute, once a week mask. I use it on the night I'm not using tretinoin. I follow it after rinsing with squalane or rose hip seed oil from The Inkey List to help lift off the dead skin over night.

For lip care I’m in the middle. My favorite is milk makeup’s kush lip glaze applied with am & pm skincare. That’s $18 but won’t get lost if it stays at home. Something like that or a lip mask is all it takes, but there’s cheaper, less used balms to carry in case of salty foods or something drys out the lips

The only thing I have for tools is a Jade roller which my friend got me as a birthday present and tons of masks, both sheet masks which I love and regular wash off masks (Isntree clay one, i'm from honey and Face Theory pink clay). I find it fun to use masks, I find sheet masks more effective than wash off ones. I've been trying a few Japanese ones as well like lululun and Rohto

I got a UFO2 earlier this year - after moving at the end of the year during peak COVID, and super stressful times, this was a self care gift and it's been nice to use when I want a few minutes to relax. It was also useful when my skin reacted to a new night cream a bit, using the cold setting to help calm and sooth my skin helped. But also saving by using sheet masks I already own with the UfO2 to save a little money lol.

I agree about some of the facial tool but my sinuses are screwed up and it puts so much pressure on the eye areas but when I got my jade rollers and jade mushroom gua sha it helps to relieve pressure on my face .I know I've gone a little obsessed with the jade rollers but I got the normal for every morning cause I'm always blocked up , my spiky jade roller for once a week and especially when my whole face and neck feels so tight and my jade mushroom gua sha for helping me around the eyes areas and my face feels so much better.

Got the UFO2 too. I feel like the LED is a load of -beep- LED needs 15 minutes at least. So that's a real gimmack. The T-sonic, heat and cold are nice though, I'm on the same mindset; It's not needed, but it's nice to use.

I completely agree with you, Fel! But I have to disagree a bit about eye cream. I used to be a non believer of eye cream but I've been using it lately and I can totally see a difference. Not that significant though but it's there hahaha. I have dark circles to begin with (it runs in the family LOL) but it appears less dark when I religiously uses the eye cream (even with the lack of sleep) versus when I don't. I guess it is because of the ceramic tip that comes with the eye cream. So, I have to say that I'll splurge a little on eye cream from now on 🤣 other than that, I'm with you gurlllll. Hahaha.

Quick question: is there a difference between sunscreen and a moisturizer with high spf? If no, should we use the same amount (2fingers)?
@sofie2829
@sofie2829 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is a difference. A moisturiser with spf is generally not givning you for example spf 25, even though it says so on the packaging. They put spf in the creams, but its mixed in and not spf 25 for every application. Maybe poorly explained, but i cant put it any other way. A sunscreen with 25 gives you what it says. Thats why they always promote moisturiser and spf.

Hi everyone, I actually have a few questions that Im curious about it even though I have done some research but I can't seem to get a clear answer 🥴 Let's say my skin type is sensitive/combo and I'm in my early 20s, my skincare regiment contains a few active ingredients such as Vitamin C, Hyaluronic acid, Niacinamide, and AHA and BHA. My skin is a little bit on a problematic side as in whenever I get breakouts it will take months to go away and leaves a deep scars that takes a year+ to fully be gone. I'm not in a rush to incorporate "retinol" in my routine but since I'm using alot of active ingredients do you think is a MUST to have retinol? Thank you so much guysssss, feel free to drop your comments below and I'll love to hear your thoughts about this✌🏼🌹
@uchennaezeani9615
@uchennaezeani9615 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Cassandra I don't think it is a must to incorporate retinol. But you can find the cues soft the acne and get a specific active ingredient like salicylic acid, azelaic acid, sulfur and the likes to treat the acne specifically. You can start incorporating retinol slowly and at a low percentage when you feel more comfortable with it.
