Yeah, he’s aware of the value, It’s not damaged in any way, its like perfectly new cuz’ he framed it a long time ago. He also has many iconic collections, he is pretty well off from his other ventures so he decided to gift this to me at my 18th birthday as a present. I’m extremely grateful for it! I don’t plan on selling it though.

Wanted to give a quick thanks for putting this together. My dad was a big fan of Marvel growing up in the 70s/80s so I’d been somewhat exposed to it (and read some of my own), but after binging Invincible and getting really interested in Marvel again (thanks Spider Verse and the awesome Latour/ Renzi run of Spider Gwen) and wanted a place to start after I finished the large spider events and this video was great. I wanted to hit both the highlights of the past and get up to speed with current events and this video was perfect for that.

There's a lot of comics I need to read from Marvel Comics. Such as Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Incredible Hulk, Avengers, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, DareDevil, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Thor, everything. Plus, I need to read every Marvel event from Avengers: The Kree-Skrull War to King In Black. I already have 5 events in Collection Volumes: which are World War Hulk, Secret Invasion, War of Kings, Realm of Kings, and Secret Wars 2015. I'm going to read Secret Wars 1984, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and Time Runs Out in preparation for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars in the MCU. But right now, I'm trying to read all of the Ultimate Universe. Starting with the Ultimate Spider-Man comics.

Try Marvel's Essential TPB series. The entire Silver and Bronze MCU is reprinted in those books. You can usually find them online for about half price, or you can borrow them from library for free.

Don't buy new comics for investment. Over 95% of then will be worth cover price or less 30 years from now. Only buy what you enjoy reading. You can also borrow TPBs and Graphic Novels from the library and read them for free. If you want to invest try buying superhero comics at least 40 years old in higher grade from comic conventions, comic stores, E-bay, flea markets and garage sales. Learn how to grade comics and keep that price guide handy and try not to pay no more than half overstreet value.

Unlike dc which started back in the 30s, marvels main runs started in the 60s, and hoenslty you can go right upto the late 90s. Past that its highly questionable. Unfortunately the 90s also gave birth to the ridiculous issies you needed for crossovers. Choose some books and strapnin for 30 years of great storytelling

The publishers do reprints, currently ‘facsimile editions’ of key issues, but typically these are limited to key issues. For complete stories there are trade paperbacks, omnibus and other books. Older non-key issues, especially low grade can be found cheaply, but availability is hit and miss. If you have a local comic book store go and talk to them.
