Thanks for the video. I recently stayed in Meritel Hanoi and it was a very nice experience. A mention for the staff: kind, professional and always helpful.

superb video and so well spoken ,i need your advise I am single and want to experience the warmer season not the wet season
@traveleatvietnam9 күн бұрын
Hi - thanks for watching. The dry season is different for the different regions of Vietnam. To be safe, the best time for little rain would be from April - June for most of Vietnam.

Most likely gonna do the MK Premier hotel thanks for the review I like the windows and roof top plus gym

Good choice! The rooms are spacious and bright - just make sure you don’t book the lowest category since it won’t have a window! Enjoy your visit to Hanoi.

Thank you for this highly informative video. We will be going in November with my mother who is a senior. She wants to see the Lake and St. Joseph’s. Are most sites accessible from the 5 hotels you recommended?
@traveleatvietnam2 ай бұрын
Hi - thanks for watching! The hotels I mentioned are in the Old Quarter so it is in walking distance to Hoan Kiem Lake and St Joseph's Cathedral. November should be a pleasant time to be in Hanoi - enjoy your visit!

hi, I'm going to Hanoi on December 24 through 29. I love the MK hotel but im looking for a cheaper deal for solo travelers. What do you recommend Hi, I'll be in Hanoi from December 24th to 29th. I really enjoy the MK hotel but I'm searching for a more affordable option for solo travelers. What do you recommend?

Hi - thanks for watching. The time you'll be in Hanoi is peak travel season during the holiday period so prices tend to be higher and rooms more limited. I haven't stayed at this hotel, but based on what I see on Agoda and their location, it looks like a good potential budget hotel for about 800k vnd per night (about $35USD). Hi there, what are your thoughts on the salute premium hotel and spa ? It's a fairly new hotel.
@traveleatvietnam2 ай бұрын
Hi - the hotel is in the Old Quarter but on the edge so not as central as others. I haven't stayed here but based on my experience with new hotels - there tends to be inconsistencies with service so just be prepared for that. The pictures are not real but 3D drawings so not sure how it looks in real life. Like all tube buildings - there will be rooms with no windows so if that's important to you, make sure to book a room with windows. Though rooms without windows tend to be cheaper. Enjoy your visit to Hanoi!

Hello, I'll be traveling alone. Would there be any budget hotels that are not in alleyways?
@traveleatvietnam3 ай бұрын
Hi - budget hotels (below $20/night) tend to be in alleyways because the rent is lower so that’s why rooms are cheaper.

Hi! Does the hotels have heater? Im planning to go in the winter season
@traveleatvietnam3 ай бұрын
Most hotels have heaters which is basically using the AC unit but turning it on hot instead of cool. I don't know about the budget hostels though.

Is there laundry washing available at these hotels
@traveleatvietnam20 күн бұрын
Hi - they have laundry services where they charge per piece. Or you can use outside laundry services, might be a good option if you have a lot of clothes. They charge by weight.

Hi there!! In your video, you never mentioned about noise. Is it noisy to stay in the Old Quarter at night? Do you have any suggestions about private tour guides?
@traveleatvietnam3 ай бұрын
Surprisingly noise is not a big issue but also depends on if your room is a streetview and windows are double paned. For the most part, I did not have any issues with noise maybe that’s why I didn’t mention it! For private tour guides - you may want to contact a local tour company or search on Facebook. Enjoy your visit to Hanoi!

Vietnam could be more enjoyable if the people didn’t throw garbage everywhere and the food vendors practiced safety and hygiene.
