Where Will The Arizona Coyotes Move to?

Late last night, the city of Tempe voted against the three different proposals for a new arena. This means the Arizona Coyotes will have to move to a different city. Where do you guys think they move to?
Option #1:
The Arizona Coyotes relocate to Quebec City. Unlikely considering Gary Bettman’s love for Canada…
Option #2:
The Arizona Coyotes relocate to Houston. Very possible
Option #3:
The Arizona Coyotes relocate to Kansas City. Also very possible

I live in KC we have a minor league team called the mavericks that have a decent attendance. I’ve personally been a avalanche fan for years now so I likely wouldn’t root for a KC nhl team at this point but I think it would be nice to have some rivalry with denver, chicago, st louis, minneapolis for hockey.

The last thing the NHL will want to deal with in a relocation of a team over arena drama is more arena drama. To me, that leaves one reasonable option: Kansas City. Houston will have to jockey with the Rockets for dates. Same with Atlanta and Salt Lake in the short term. T-Mobile center does not have an anchor tenant and it’s concert dates are largely isolated to weekdays. It is not as strong of a market as Houston, but it presents itself as a fun, drama-free, medium term solution for the league.

I think Pierre Karl Peladeau will likely purchase the Coyotes from Alex Meruelo for $968 million and then relocate them to Quebec City, where they will become the 2nd incarnation of the Quebec Nordiques and play their home games at Videotron Centre beginning next season.

I would them to come to Atlanta (they have an ownership interested bringing a team back & have plans to build a brand new NHL size arena in the suburbs and can play in Gas South Arena where the Atlanta Gladiators play until the permanent NHL arena is built and ready to play in) but I think they will more than likely go to Houston or Salt Lake City

Why not Qubec? I thought that had an arena. But, also Houston is going hard to get a team. But, anyway it's fine.

They want to keep the conferences and divisions aligned. 16 teams each conference. Also Houston is a new market to tap into. Simply convenient

Unfortunately its a mix of weak Canadian dollar, divisions and strategic plans for Betman that are not super align with Quebec

@@HockeyCircle The government of Quebec has restricted the use of English in that province. Quebec is corrupt and has the lowest productivity in North America. I have a friend who is a businessman. He will not do any business in Quebec because of the corruption there. A Quebec franchise would have a hard time attracting free agents from English Canada and the USA.

HC I totally see them going to Houston. They are ready for a team and the Rockets owner has stated it a good number of times that he is going hard for an NHL team. Plus they play in the right division. I think because of currency the NHL is more looking at having an American team over a Canadian team. Hopefully in the future and I think so Quebec will get their team back. Just hope its not my bolts. I feel for the Coyote fans who have a love for the game. Treat them with respect everybody.

Houston deserves a nice clean expansion like seattle, the league could make a billion+, Quebec has 844k pop (2k more then Winnipeg) with a 18k arena like bro fuck the division at this point

@@mattlorentz1988 I think so. That scenario they are in is pretty wishy washy. They had a stadium in plans in 2008 that look absolutely awesome. I would love that one even tho its in St Pete. Google it and check it out if you ever have the chance.
