I feel like you are the most accurate and unbiased Packers coverage out there....but why all the Quay Walker hate? He's solid and is a violent tackler...something we have often lacked. A few years ago you were bent on needing to play more Oren Burks lol

I'm surprised we haven't heard you speak of Dominick Puni. He is a 6'5" 313 left tackle with experience at gaurd, and took snaps at center in the Senior Bowl. He is a boarderline top 100 pick from a power 5 confetence, he had a good showing at the Senior Bowl, and a good combine. Also, not many OL prospects run a sub 4.47 20 yard shuttle but, there is a very high hit rate on prospects who do. Puni was one of two this year to do it with a time of 4.40.

Something I found interesting from watching Mike Wahle's take on Rasheed Walker is that outside of Joe Alt Wahle doesn't feel like any of the OTs in the draft are better than Walker is right now. Most of Walker's issues are teachable from footwork and then experience. To me that means drafting an OT in R1 doesn't make sense since he will be a backup.

At this point, TJ Tampa should be the consensus CB6 in this draft (behind Arnold, Mitchell, DeJean, Wiggins, and McKinstry). If the Packers go offensive line at #25, I would fully expect them to take Tampa at #41 if he's still available.

Keisan Nixon is the wildcard packers player that makes figuring out who we take right away difficult. I’ve gotta think we take DeJean even if we have to trade up a few spots? I just don’t see him lasting to 25 bcuz of his potential versatility and return ability. But taking a guy like that and having him play with Jaire, McKinney, Stokes, Nixon, Valentine, and Ballentine really solidifies that group. It also gives McKinney a counterpart to build an on field relationship with, which would stabilize the back end for at least 3 years. But what do I know haha. I could also see us move back in the 1st by swapping 2nd round picks to put us in a position to take Edgerin Cooper. There are a few cheap veteran safeties to plug in but there’s basically no free agent LBs available. So many options haha either way the packers are in a position to be stacked with dudes on rookie contracts and a toooon of cap space the next few years

Packers need 2 linebackers to run the new defense. They need a Ray Lewis ILB type in the middle next to McDuffie. Then an offball OLB. They may need to reach in the draft and fill in that big hole. Don’t forget we have the most amount of draft picks out of any team this year with 5 in the 1st 91 draft picks. Brian Gutekunst got 2 good free agents and with all of the linebackers and cornerbacks he’s like let’s go back to trusting in the draft we did enough. Some of our cap space will be going to Jordan Love’s new deal, and also our draft picks. I don’t think they’re done yet. There will be some players come available after June 1st and some players after training camp is over. Go Pack Go 💚💛

I think the 40 yard time can be overrated because that is how you move out of an initial track stance and your get off time...If they ran like 80 yards, you would be able to breakdown how quick they really are and see if they just have a bad 40 time because of get off.

DB continues to be a position of need because GB keeps missing on 1st, 2nd round DB draft picks, despite repeated attempts (very few 2nd contracts). Missed opportunities as a result. Would favor OL or even DL/edge at 25 if the board falls that way. Can get guys like Tampa, Jackson, Melton on day 2.

We hit on Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes looked promising before these injuries. Can't let Stokes injuries or not hitting on Josh Jackson dissuade us from drafting a CB if a good one is staring at you at pick 25. Gute failed at TE miserably for the last few years but I would say he more than made up for it this past draft. It's all a crapshoot. Half of the first rounders no matter where they are drafted will not meet their expectations, be average, or be a bust. Let's hope we nail whoever we get this year. I love Cooper D. from Iowa. I think he would be great in our defense but you never know. I thought Ja was a reach and undersized and was not worth trading up for but I was sure wrong about that one. Time will tell

With all of the QBs and OLs expected to go in the first round, a consensus top 20 prospect on the defensive side might "fall" to GB, whether Wiggins, Mitchell, Newton or Murphy. That would be good. Looking back the past ten years GB has taken the following DBs with their first pick- Stokes, Alexander, King, and Randall. With their second pick Savage, Jackson, Jones, Randall, Rollins, and Clintin-Dix. Thats about half of the total first two picks. Overall, frustrating. Gutekunst has been doing better than his predecessors.

The news of Tyler testing that bad is eye opening. His film says other wise. He is and was the Minnesota defense And what is Cooper Dejean going to test at after a broken leg. Does his film get thrown out. Let's see what happens with TJ Tampa because that's it for me at corner. I just watched the Notre Dame vs NC State game to look at Payton Wilson. And it was embarrassing, but what I saw I liked. On the long run by Estime he took a blind side block to the chops but he did read the play correctly. There were 3 plays I counted where he chased down WR and made the tackle. He stays around the ball, he wraps up and tackle's players at there hips. Is fast and plays fast. His problem is he plays light, but he compliments Quay. He is everything in the passing game Quay isn't

I could see the Packers taking 2 linebackers in rounds 2-4, and 3 Linebackers overall. I think 2 safeties in round 2 and beyond as well. First round is corner if one of the top guys are there, but I could see the Packers go Tackle or Edge if someone falls, but that's it. they will take a guy to play IOL in rounds 3 or 4. Maybe a RB in round three or 4 as well, but I could see them not addressing that until later, or maybe not at all.
