19 years ago my wife took me to my first drive-in movie. It was our first date and we went to see Underworld. As the movie started it began to rain. It was magical. They kept the movie going despite the weather. Since it was difficult to see through the windshield we had to occupy our time with conversation. We got to know each other a lot more than people normally would on a first date and I believe it really helped me relax around her enough to just be myself. 2 years later we were married and we're still together. I looked it up and the UK and France have high degree of caution ratings because their own governments warn against terrorism. They are targeted more than most countries because unlike North America they are much more accessible than crossing an ocean, and terror attacks have just as high an impact when done on these two nations. It also considers covid restrictions, but it’s the terrorism threat that puts it over the edge for both countries. This also explains why Belgium is the same level, due to the attacks on places like Brussels. So, Canada and the USA are simply reciprocating the warnings that the UK & France have implemented, they don’t actually think they’re more problematic in general 😅

The Philippines apart from the fact that they were conquered by the Spanish, were also conquered by the Tlaxcaltecas (an indigenous culture of Mexico well known for helping the Spanish against the Aztecs), after the Spanish defeated them they went to the Philippines and since they considered the Tlaxcaltecas as great warriors took them with them, so it is known that 90% of the crew was made up of Tlaxcalans and when they got there they fought with Japanese pirates (epic crossover) and after that the Tlaxcalans settled and mixed with the natives there, The Spanish founded a municipality called Mexico in the Philippines, in addition to the fact that they administered them from Mexico City together with the Manila galleon that went from Acapulco to Manila that increased migration in both parts of the viceroyalty along with much cultural exchange, 🇲🇽❤🇵🇭

A lot of men were missing in the work force and women were encouraged to work. Also a lot of men literally drink themselves to death. 2. Russia has serious demographic issues. Its population is not aging and declining as rapidly as Japan's, yet they are going to be hit harder. Russia is not a wealthy country by our standards and won't be able to pay for their elderly. 3. Yeah. Russia could never solve China's situation. Some experts say China has around 50 Million "surplus" men. That is more than 1/3rd of Russia's entire population. Some of that is just biology and some of that is men working more dangerous jobs, being more likely to be alcoholic, etc. Also Russia hasn't recovered for many reasons. 1) Child mortality was higher in Soviet Union than in the West. 2) There was shortage of men in workforce so women were encouraged to work and so didn't have kids. 3) Men have much lower life expectancy in Russia than women. Alcoholism, drug abuse, poor working conditions, poverty, high crime rates, etc. contribute to that. On average life expectancy for Men in Russia is 68 years while for women it's 78 years. 0:51 Simple - the 3 out of the 4 standard versions of the pluricentric Serbocroatian language have adapted separate cyrillic and latin alphabets for themselves (the Croatian standard adopted only latin). People choose for themselves which one they prefer (in my high school class, a majority went went with latin, but the minority of cyrillic writers was substantial. now in uni, there's a similar story), but all can understand both pretty much perfectly. then again, while preference for one or the other isn't strickly tied to ethnicity, there are different preferences within ethnicities. Bosniaks tend to choose latin, Montenegrins too, tho the difference isn't quite as big with the former, while Serbs tend to choose cyrillic. In Kosovo and North Macedonia, the usage of both Latin and Cyrillic is explained by different languages - while standard Serbian (the largest minority language of Kosovo) uses both cyrillic and latin, Albanian (the majority language of the area) uses just latin. In North Macedonia, the division is even more stark, as (Slavo-)Macedonian, the official language of the country (more closely related to Bulgarian than to Serbocroatian) uses just cyrillic. Nevertheless, a large Albanian and a smaller Turkish minority mean that a substantial percentage of the country's population uses latin to write in their language. For Cyprus, well, they have their own somewhat divergent dialect of Greek, spoken by a majority of the island's population, so of course Greek is gonna be an official language, written in the greek alphabet. Turkish is officially recognized as the second official language of Cyprus, due to the large Turkish minority (large enough they have their own unrecognized state in the north), and since Turkish is written using the latin alphabet...

Or you would die. Your winters in the lower 48 are not cold. They're a bit chilly. That's it. Alaskan winters get so cold that if you peed outside, your pee freezes before it hits the ground. If you throw boiling water into the air, it will flash-freeze into snow instantly. Actualy instantly. AK winters give you about 15 minutes of exposure before you die. When I got my driver's license at 16 in 1971, Drive In's were fairly common in CT, Norwich- New London, and the Groton Drive-ins I when to a lot. The Groton Drive-in is long gone now, there is a shopping mall there now. The Norwich -New London Drive-in is just an overgrown field not, they have been trying to sell it for decades at lease since the end of the 1970s. They say that Metroplexes and the VCR killed the drive in's. I think it had a lot to do with local property taxes. It was a thing back then a double feature and in the summer the movie would not even start till around 9 pm well 3 to 4 hours of movie run time is great for the weekend not so much during the workweek. I have not been to a drive-in in just about 50 years.

Pretty much the same number of male and female babies are born normally. The reason there are slightly more females alive is that they tend to live a few years longer, even in the most "equal" countries. In Russia, way too many men die of alcohol and drug abuse early which explains why their female% is so high.

@@rgarcia_ru not really - WW2 ended 77 years ago. This means that anybody that fought in WW2 is now in their 90s. It’s too few people to skew the statistics. @@Nilithic what’s to understand there? It’s just a statement of an easily verifiable facts. Data on life expectancy is readily available. Looking at population pyramid of Russia (also available from many sources) it’s also clearly visible that in young generations male population is slightly bigger than the female population but for older generations (60+) there is a massive female surplus. If you think you understand demographics better, feel free to share.
@Nilithic2 жыл бұрын
@@rabomarc We still in a spiral of an echo of war, because at that period of war women didn't gave birth at all. Now we're stuck in this sinusoidal regression. Also a lot of young fertile females are fled from the country around the last 10 years to find a better life. And probably because of that, now it is curved to male population. When you have a lot of males compared to females there is always a war happens to restore balance. LIke a a pre-war Germany.

Regarding that drive-in movie theatre map at around 10 minutes: I don't think it's fair to say that they're popular here in SoCal just because there's at least 2 per county compared to other counties. Southwestern counties are just a whole lot bigger than most other counties in the US, and there's a lot of people here. That tends to mess with a whole lot of statistical things when measuring by county. (Although, conditions are decent for any kind of outdoor venue in SoCal)
