Glad the human that snagged that blazer from you put it down and you found it again. Good on ya for not giving up! I had someone snag something out of my basket when my back was turned trying on in the aisle of a Savers here in Phoenix. I was SO shocked. She had teenage daughters with her and they looked so embarrassed that I just couldn't say a word to the woman. If she wanted it THAT bad she could have it. But I looked at the oldest girl and rolled my eyes.... I will never forget the sad look she gave me.... Oh my goodness that poor Kid!!!

I love the blue Gucci bag but the $2,100 price tag for a 2nd hand bag is 😱 I shudder to think what the original price was. I think they had a Hermes bag in that colour also which was gorgeous. Can confirm. In the hip neighborhoods in LA, the thrift stores can be up-priced, but there are still good spots. My latest addiction is the LACC Swap Meet (every weekend), if you are willing to wade through a lot of stuff. This weekend's score was a Dior blazer for $15!

IDK if you know this about Housing Works, but pre-pandemic, they had these Buy the Bag events where they opened up their warehouse early on a Saturday morning. They give you a paper bag and you go through bins and boxes of stuff, fill it up for something like $20. They usually announce it on their website. I've been a couple of times and found some incredible gems. You should definitely try it the next time. Bring a friend, because it's a lot of fun.

Bleaching is actually super easy and fun...that way you can get any colour denim and end up with white OOAK shorts. Anyway MOAR; loved going shopping and your scores were fabulous!!!! Farro is a Mediterranean grain... really delicious... and healthy!

from what i remember from an article in the National Post (a newspaper, here in Canada), farro is an ancient grain that originated in the Middle East and thought to have been brought to Europe by the Roman Empire. it's similar to barley and full of fibre and protein. it's chewy, with a nutty flavour that apparently goes well in both sweet and savoury dishes.

One of my basic thrifting rules, if you see something you just vaguely think you might like, snatch it up and put your dibs on it - you can sort it ll out before checkout.
