Those store where loaded with great clothing. The sweaters were gorgeous. I am a sucker for natural fibers: wool, cotton, and linen. They wear so great. No worries of those little nasty piling balls of broken synthetic fiber. I agree with you, I completely hate garments that only have design interest on the front and a plain, boring back. It screams cheap and boring to me. You are the second person I heard of finding an authentic luxury designer handbag at a thrift store. Another KZbinr found a designer handbag, it was by Bottega Veneta. It was basically new and she paid only $20 for it.

I try to thrift here in the Canaries but after living in the UK and starting my thrift journey in a big city here it's a job, however I do get some good stuff a couple of times a year. The shops Karen visits make me drool. Nothing like that here.

I don’t find thrifting relaxing, I always wanna go through all the pieces to make sure I don’t miss anything and it takes so long that I feel like I’m overstaying my welcome (which is enhanced by the shop owner awkwardly staring me down) which gives me anxiety 😂 but it’s very much worth it when you find that one piece though!
