Hi Poppy, it’s great watching your videos of my awesome stunning country but it’s really painful watching you wash dishes and clean yourself in our pristine lakes and waterways. Sadly some of these have deteriorated over time where they’re no longer safe to swim in and the water isn’t safe to drink any longer so we really do want to keep the rest clean and stop them deteriorating like the others. I know your probably thinking it’s ECO soap and it’s only a few dishes but we get a lot of freedom campers from overseas (and careless kiwis living here) doing exactly that along with many totally disgusting (overseas tourists) out there that defecate directly along the waters edge or directly into our waterways themselves alongside many other places outside of a toilet. Theoretically your vehicle should be fully self contained (be able to store your waste water and sewerage) but I know a lot aren’t, so an alternative way is to remove fresh water from the lake/rive, clean yourself/dishes and dispose of it at least 100 meters away from the waters edge and if there is a drain nearby then dump it down there. Note be aware some lakes/rivers might be sacred to Maori and therefore some restrictions around the area might be put in place but they would be well signposted, most commonly a temporary ban around a certain area is usually put in place after someone has unexpectedly died. Anyway all the best with your travels here and abroad - safe travels.

Poppy, I am obtaining a 4M, 66 feet 2020 Prestige ocean going catamaran yacht with 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms (a palatial 2 story ocean going home on the ocean ) I really like your mischievous immature bordering kid personality, if you are willing to learn sailing and help with the chords on board while traveling all over the world while doing your you tube videos, I am pretty cool about it. I enjoy fishing, diving and eating fresh fish every day. When comes to living expenses(food and housing ), I take care of it for everyone of my crew. While sailing, there will be a crew of 6, made out of 2 guys and 4 women to operate the catamaran boat on the permanent basis.
