I think if the Bucks known earlier that they were getting Dame, they would've kept Bud & given him a chance to run it with Dame for a season before firing him depending on the results. Hiring a rookie coach like Adrian Griffin was not the move, that's the kind of move you make if you intend on having a scapegoat like the Cavs with David Blatt & Lakers with Darvin Ham. I feel like once they fired Griffin, Terry Stotts was supposed to take over, but Griffin had already ran Stotts out of town before the season even started. Griffin was power trippin, wasn't willing to listen to anyone, & I think that resulted in the players not liking/respecting him, so they had to get rid of him. As SAS pointed out, the Bucks defense was atrocious under Griffin. And if you actually watched games, it was not the coaching that led them to that 30-13 record, it was the talent, Giannis just willing them to a victory or Dame being the hero. I mean with Giannis & Dame, you're bound to win games, that's a given. Similar to the Suns, lots of talent, but not coached well. When a team is not coached well, it basically just becomes pickup basketball, that's what it reminds me of. Hard to blame Doc on this one too. What coach has come in mid-season to try & fix a team? All the other coaches that have taken over mid-season, they were already a part of the coaching staff. I don't think I've ever seen a coach from outside take over mid-season. If no injuries, I'm sure the Bucks will be better next season once they have a full training camp with Doc.

The issue is the refs gave all the calls to the sixers and embiid in game 3 to wash out game 2 "favorable" knicks calls. Embiid had 19 points solely from the free throw line.

There’s nothing disappointing about the Sixers this year. No one expected them to do anything this year anything. The supporting cast is a lottery team. If they could’ve played .500 ball while Embiid was out they’d have been the 2 seed by quite a few games. Embiid with half his face paralyzed and clearly hobbling on one leg with a lottery team not making it out of the first round against the 2 seed isn’t anything but expected. Doc turning the Bucks into a dumpster fire should be more disappointing. He’s allegedly one of the best coaches in history right? According to the 75th anniversary team.

I remember Paul Reed said they wanted the Knicks because it’s an easier matchup than Boston . Disappointing in terms of overall expectations from the start of the season I'd say the Bucks. All the fans were highly anticipating the duo of giannis and dame but couldnt see it come to fruition in the playoffs due to injury. Disappointing in terms of results definitely 76ers. They are basically full strength and still getting gentlemen swept by a knicks team without arguably their best/2nd best player

I may be bias since I love the Bucks but Bucks are easily the more disappointing. We can blame the injuries as much as we want, and they're without a doubt a factor being down 3-1, but to act like Pacers havent had our number all year is crazy. Then they upgraded with Pascal and we downgraded with Doc. I keep seeing other Buck fans say we wouldve smacked Indy if we had Giannis, and I disagree. Just a sad season.

He is their best offensive piece, great rebounder which would have solved game 3, gets the other team in foul trouble usually, and he is quick to help with defense which is killing the older players due to the pace Indiana is playing at. Also, defense is better with him in and he changes the way a team can attack the Bucks. No Giannis is one less person with the ball making it easier to double or trap someone like Dame which they did after he exploded in game 1. I think Bucks win tonight but lose in Indiana. Keep Giannis, Khris, Dame, Bobby, Green and AJax. Rebuild with a better center since Lopez is top slow and drop doesn't work anymore in the NBA and get a better 2 guard who plays defense. Don't need the offense in those two positions as much when you have Giannis, Bobby, Dame and Khris alongside Green and AJax. Need to get younger in 2-3 key positions and they have a chance to do damage with a full camp under Doc.

@MasterofLightning They never called the clear flagrant 2 on Embiid, they didn't call Maxey's push off in the same sequence, and Nick Nurse didn't commit to calling timeout until the ball was no longer in their possession. If you can't close on a hobbled Knicks team, even with the refs virtually gifting you a game, then you're where you should be.

@@bobcharlie1666 Made plenty of sense. The reason the Bucks struggle so much in the playoffs was never because of their defense, it was always because Giannis was their only consistent scorer. Their defensive rating was better before they even acquired Jrue, yet yall act like Jrue is the ONLY reason their defense was ever good, lmao. In the 2019 ECF when they loss the Raptors, Khris Middleton only averaged 13ppg in that series, & he's supposed to be their 2nd best player. In 2022 against the Celtics, Middleton was hurt so Jrue was their 2nd best player, he averaged 21ppg but only on a whomping 36% FG%. Giannis needed more help offensively, look at any other top player, they have so much more help scoring-wise. They brought Dame in to fix this issue come playoff time, but they just couldn't get to test it out since both were hurt.

Tin foil hat theory: Giannis faked the injury to save Doc and also himself. Everyone knows Giannis was largely responsible for the firing of Adrian Griffin and hiring Doc. If the Bucks are fully healthy and lose in the first round, both Doc and Giannis' reputations would take a huge hit. With an "injury" Doc's job is now safe and Giannis looks less bad.
