"Recon" Procedes to use a short barreled AR, topped with an EOTech... Maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about, being a (Canadian😬) civilian. But doesn't that not really suit the, "recon" role? Unless maybe in a dense urban environment...? maybe...? Even then, there is still long sight lines available, which I'd think you would be taking full advantage of, in a "recon" role. Maybe I"m wrong?
@Thee_Sinner2 жыл бұрын
@@darksidetize5183 recon doesn’t necessarily mean sniper as were led to believe by most video games. Recon, as the name implies, is tasked with reconnaissance. If you listen closely, you can tell that the AR he’s got is not only suppressed, but shooting subsonic ammo. Sometimes recon has to get close to the enemy, best to have a weapon that it the least likely to be heard.

@@Thee_Sinner You would think you would want a weapon with say, an LPVO and offset red dot or something like that right? That way you could take long(ish) distance shots and/or gather information for an assaulter force etc, etc…Generally reconnaissance doesn’t really involve a “sniper” role right? I've been running a GBRS Group Assaulter Belt V2, and it's been a mainstay in my kit for over a year, prior to that I was using a Ronin belt that was my first belt I had purchased. I'm very pleased with the GBRS belt so far, it's held up to a lot of aggressive use and still holds all my gear attached to it with good rigidity. Definitely a product I'd recommend to other shooters looking at getting a solid belt.
@serene_potato2 жыл бұрын
The thing with the GBRS Group Assaulter Belt is that it comes with a 3rd belt that is used to cover the inner belt for that very reason. GBRS's logic with this reversed setup is that when you put on the outer belt you won't have any exposed skin getting rubbed against the rough hook material that would normally be facing into your body. Plus the inner belt cover can act as a stand alone EDC belt (which works wonderfully). Not everyone's cup of tea, but that's why there are so many options for belts out there.
@ShooterMedic18182 жыл бұрын
@None Which is completely stupid. If you read on the advantages of flipping it far outweighs the "normal". I totally agree about not wearing the 2 piece style belts on top of clothing, however, I do store mine in this configuration just in case I have to throw it on very quickly and don't have time to thread it into my belt loops. This is more for a "bump in the night" or "oh sh*t" situation where I have to react immediately. I also do this because I currently can't afford to own both a 2 piece setup and an over the clothes setup.
