Save the box for the main chars you need. At level 90 the legendary swords have 175 more flat attack than epic. legendary 587 vs 412 epic. Secondary stat is slightly higher but the flat attack is insanely higher. Also the legendary weapons from standard banner are fairly good all around for all chars.

@@RogerNbr The BP weapons are quite bad. Autumtrace has like 412 attack 20% crit rate. for 7 seconds you can get stacks of 4% attack up to maximum of 20% 1 sec CD. Even if you add those 20% towards the 412 flat, you still won't reach any 587 attack from the legendary weapons. with a full 5 star you would get 12.8% x 5 = 64% more attack, with 1 sec CD up to max 5 stacks. 412 x 1.64 = 675. The legendary is still better with flat attack and higher crit chance if it's jiyan's sword, but either way yeah? And it has bonuses on top of that, as more recharge. Also has constantly higher attack, no hit conditions for it. Edit: I'm a bit wrong.. 587.. I thought 687, still no conditions for it and it's constant. But with a 5 levelled autumntrace it would be good enough I guess. I would still go for the legendary. but they get somewhat more close similar. Anyway not a huge selling point like genshins BP weapons. black sword and 2-hander is something different!

The gauntlets are made for lingyang btw, his cycle consists entirely of basic atks and resonance skills (both in and out of lion dancing) so he’s able to get both of the effects going really easily

Regarding to weapons ATK stats is also important to reminder that buffs for ATK ( e.g.Verina's skill , healing set buff ) scales only with "white" ATK stat which comes from Character and weapon only

Another reason to get the sword and gun standard 5stars is cuz they are the only ones with crit rate while from the battle pass those are the only ones without crit rate but the others all have crit rate. So this way you can easily secure 1 weapon of each type with crit rate on it

pull on the standard weapon banner instead of the standard banner with the standard pulls. I'd suggest going for the sword and pistol out of all the weapons, and if youre lucky and finish the choice banners, with the 5 star box, you'll have 2 5 star weapons in the first two patches of the game. The broadblade is good for calcharro, but i just spent money on the battlepass broadblade and plan to get that r5'd eventually, which is only like 7% less dps, and you'll have an easier time building characters with it. It'll also work for every attack based dps afterwords.

I'm picking the gauntlet (Abyss Surges looks cool) as Lingyang is definitely the current best user of them. I've been using a Hollow Mirage R3 on him for now, but that means when I use a team of Calcharo, Sanhua and him. Lingyang is swapped in so often with his intro skill the moment he has his Liberation ready to activate the effect of the weapon and go into Lion state. So when I do get the weapon he'll be able to be more of a main dps. If I had Jiaxyn would rather just give her Marcato (the one Ceaseless Aria don't have). My Calcharo is using Helios Cleaver and got Jiyan's sig so don't have much need for the broadsword, then the rectifier is a pass for me due to getting via battle pass Augment which plan to R5 for my Encore and while I'm tempted for the gun Cadenza been doing just fine for my S6 Mortefi and do have a lot of sword options but is tempting too still so going to have to decide between the latter two for standard weapon banner (leaning more for the sword).

The real question is what do you do with the second time you get a 5-star choice. First time it's optimal to choose the Sword, but should you get another copy or go for the gun, considering there is still not a great fair share of units who'll make great use of it (considering it can be an investment for the future). Other than that going for something like the Broadblade if you have several units and haven't pulled in the weapon banner (like Calcharo + Jiyan or if you'll pull for Jinghsi) could be the way to go.

First, get one 5* weapon for each variant, then you can consider pulling for weapon dupes. You'll get a lot of weapon dupes anyway as most of the limited characters want their own signature weapon, and you should always pull for the signature weapon for the characters you're pulling. So yeah, you'll be swimming in signature weapons in the future. So just pull the standard 5* gun for now.

I know I want Emerald of Genesis, it would be absolutely "game changing" for me. But, I don't want to use the selector on it. I'm currently 43/80 on the standard weapon banner, and want to get Emerald from it. Unfortunately, Lustrous Tides have dried up, and it's looking like I'll have to wait for 1.1 to get more (which probably won't amount to 37 pulls). I'll hit 45 in the next couple of days, and if I use the selector on the sword, I'll have to stop pulling on the weapon banner with whatever Lustrous Tide comes along. I want to main Jinhsi, but until I'm absolutely sure of what characters I want to run in that team, I don't want to end up choosing the wrong 5 star on the weapon banner if one of her best teammates needs one of those weapons to truly work. It would be much better for me to just hold the selector in my inventory, but continue pulling on the banner for the chance at more weapon or character dupes/finally getting Variation. I've been so tempted to spend asterite on that banner. But I want to make sure I can guarantee Jinhsi and her signature weapon, and have asterite leftover to maybe go for Changli. Or maybe even to yolo for Jinhsi's S3 (because I guarantee her S2 doesn't work how so many people have assumed it does, and her S3 will likely be her true biggest boost)

I think the obvious choice is the one you have a character that will benefit from the weapon now. Like for me, who is currently maining Encore, the Rectifier I'd say is a no brainer, unless you intend to a copy of the one on the current weapon banner. Likewise, the guantlets are good for our standard banner five star guantlet character, who likes attack for the shield strength. Then there is the sword if you are using Rover. Beyond that, pistol is good, because we won't be getting one of those on a featured banner for a bit, but also not great, because you're probably not heavily using a pistol user for damage right at this moment. At the end of the day, weapon banner I'd say is the place to spend your perma-banner pulls (after you get to the "pick the five star you want" stage, anyway), and you can set which one you are going for, so, long term, it doesn't really matter. Therefore, current use case or save the box until you have a good use case.

For normal low spenders: Get pistol and sword from 5star selector and box, then buy broadsword, gloves and rectifier from BP - you have crit rate weapon for every type of DPS. BP weapons even with no refines are better, than fully refined 4star weapons (sadly this is not genshin, where there are a lot of cracked 4star weapons you can slowly get from random gacha drops)

its not actually 200+ attack difference if you compare with a DPS weapon the support ones lean toward the energy regen but other purple swords have more my 70 broadblade#41 has 312 so it seems weapons have scaling stats between the 2 main ie less energy more attack and vice versa still incredibly higher attack on 5* just a little extra info out there

so ive never been lucky with gatcha games. my first ten pull i pulled the aero monk girl, it then let me chose a unit to go for so i chose Calcharo, i did a ten pull and instantly got him. so i had alot of left over wishes like 30 i went and got him the lustrous razor because why not it looks like it would work better than jiyans. i tried to pull yinlin and i got another Calcharo instead so rip. i think I'm gonna get the crit rate sword for rover because he's kinda unfair

Yinlin's own weapon is better anyway, and if you have both sword and the gun, and jiyan's own weapon, then that leaves only the gauntlet. So yeah bro, pull yinlin's weapon and get that 5* gauntlet.

I have Encore, Yinlin, Calcharo,Jiyan, MC, Danjin, Mortefi, Verina…. But I am not a whale, I only bought BP and Lunite Subscription. Which weapon should I take from the BP and from the lv Union 45 box ?

I haven't seen this mentioned but isn't the 'event' for the 5* weapon box expiring today? Are ppl going to get it once that thing goes away? I swear I did everything as a f2p, using all possible waveplates without refreshing and only just hit 45. Again the timer is saying this thing EXPIRES in a few hours. If it does do away I dunno wut they were thinking about who could get it without using those twenty solvents

Lets consider you have jiyan's and yinlin's signature weapon as well, then that only leaves the gauntlet as the missing 5* weapon. So yeah, pull for gauntlet champ.

@@ShahzebAsh It doesn't have crit as the main stat. I'd rather get one more copy of the crit sword and later when a crit gauntlet is released I'll get that one simple.

meanwhile I spent my blue ball on the permanent resonance banner not the weapon 55pull later ...should have gotten one of the b5 weapon in the resonance 55pull, 33 pull in weapon

@@alfarizi2179 I wouldn't pull for a character if I can't guarantee pull for their weapon, as most of the time the signature weapon is crafted as so that the character gets the full benefits of the weapon. I would recommend you skip for jinshi (and probably changlin) until you can guarantee pull for the weapon. (Personally, I would just farm and save enough for weapon (80 weapon summons/12,800 astrites) and keep summoning for the characters from any extra astrites that I get, for the character I want. If I get the characters then I immediately pull for their signature weapon, if not then I'll save for my next favorite character) Also, don't forget about the potential collabs that this game will get in the future, so I would recommend so start saving up some pulls so that you can freely summon for collab characters.
