I loved the intro! Thank you so much for that…as for the rain, it added a wonderful touch to the video and photos. Brave of you to use the OP3 that day! Amazing video…left me smiling!

Nice video Mike. I went to Bradgate and was lucky to witness two reds rutting. Also, there were two red youngsters sparring. Ten days before I ventured to Bushy Park and saw one red stag take a drink at the water edge. I should imagine the rut is finished by now.

Super photos and footage as always, Mike. The rain adds a great deal to so many wildlife photos, and looks great in your slo-mo footage. Margam Park here in south Wales is pretty good for deer photography.

Like most other people have said I loved the wet weather footage. I have Tatton Park only an hours drive from me, there is a lot of the flat manicured grass you mention, but you can get some more natural looking shots in the areas of longer grass and woodland as long if the deer are prepared to play ball (not literally). There's no bracken though and the park doesn't open to the public until 8am.

A great video. Richmond is my local park, I've noticed over the past 10 years that the rut is becoming more subdued. The deer aren't acting naturally. There's a lot less aggression during the rutting season also the season seems to finish about 2 weeks earlier. ( I've been photographing the rut until the end of October in the past. Now 3rd week into Oct it's all but finished ). Now is this a result of the changing climate or the increased footfall through the park?

Great film Mike, with some really good photos and video footage! I first photographed the deer in Richmond park forty years ago this year, back In the glorious days of film, I don’t know about you but I much prefer digital! I remember many occasions when I was the only one photographer there photographing the deer, nowadays you see folks chasing after the deer with their mobile phones! Glad the rain stopped for you! Cheers 👏😀👍🦦

Top Tip, moleskin trousers, both warm and water resistant, they do get wet but you don't feel the water, unlike jeans that are horrible wet, I am a fly fisherman as well, and we all were moleskin trousers
