Thanks for watching! Here's the poll: kzbin.infoUgkx2uLAXrI23zh9NY2e5eTSWyhVljod0O9P Fun fact, while making this video, the only game with copyright issues was Arkham City, every other game was fine, but City's songs kept getting flagged for some reason. Anyways, post your thoughts and opinions below! Also if you guys want, I can go into more detail for one of these games to really explain my thoughts since I didn't go into much detail in this video.

The joker carol of the bells theme is fucking phenomenal, its so perfect, a normally happy christmas song, being given a sinister twist as it combines with the horror and depravity of the joker

Maybe too late, but my ranking 4. Arkham asylum. It fits the atmosphere, but it is just sinister ambient, it kinda gets boring and you won’t remember it that much 3. Arkham knight. It also has a lot of sinister ambient, but it also has emotional themes like inner demon that stick with listener. 2. Arkham City. It is just too iconic. Main theme, Catwoman theme, protocol 10. 1. Arkham Origins. Christopher Drake maybe the best DC media composer. Gotham Knight slaps, Injustice games slap and this one…it feels like Hans Zimmer theme for Dark Knight Rises and since this is one of my favourite osts of all time, that’s not a bad thing. It feels the most grandiose and orchestra feels alive(it may be a sample tho, not an expert). Firefly theme, Deathstroke theme, Bane theme, Joker theme(with Carol of the Bells leitmotif) feel distinct, yet connected at the same time. I hope he will return to Injustice 3

I agree with all your points. City is the only soundtrack I know by heart (I could speak for hours about its brilliance), and I enjoyed most of Origins. There was, however, ONE musical moment in Knight that caught my attention and I consider to be one of the best in the entire series: The track "Inner Demon", which plays during a very tense mission (the GCPD rescue) and really surprised me, as I was expecting the usual full-blast, fast-paced orchestral fury that we get with most battle scenes. Instead, "Inner Demon" is a slower, more subdued track, and constantly alternates between beautifully somber and eerily suspenseful. One moment you get dramatic melodies, the other you get eerie repeated dissonant staccato chords (it's the other way around in the album version). At this point in the game, Batman is truly afraid, exhausted and damaged, yet there is still a ray of hope inside him. I wish the rest of the game's score was just as memorable... sigh.

City's usage of leitmotifs is probably one of the best in all of gaming

While Asylum has some great tracks, its honestly just not as memorable as future tracks in the series, which isnt a bad thing it just shows how much the series has evolved. The ambience helps set the tone for the game, but the main menu theme acts as the main leitmotif fot the series, as you can hear it in various other trackd in the sequels. The Arkham City Main theme is so good and iconic most people just assume its the theme for the series as a whole. It established the intense, dark and Gothic tone for the rest of the tracks. I can list some of my favorites like Simulated Fear and One By One. Arkham Origins was pretty unique as it had Christopher Drakes cinematic style with heavy emphasis on strings, and it gave Origins a lot of Identity. The Christmas theme helped a lot too as you said. Arkham Knight has the most melancholy but triumphat themes of the series. It has my personal Favorite track, Invasion. It plays during the final GCPD defense mission and its so amazing. It mixes all of the previous main themes in the series with an amazing goodbye medley, and Predator with its violins and choir. I kinda feel like it gets a bit less points though since it does reuse a couple tracks from City but honestly with the overall OST it more than makes up for it. Im honestly gonna miss Nick Arundels Arkham soundtracks, he helped define the orchestral style so much for these games. My personal ranking 1) City (ofc) - Sets the bar so high, that they even reused some track in Knight [10/10] 2) Knight - Its intense but emotional tracks that set the idea that this is goodbye, but the gothic orchestra remains for the high octane combate/predator sections which give a sense of utter urgency [8/10] 3) Origins - The Most unique sounding of the series, but it other than a few track it doesnt stick with me. I could probably tell a song is from it just by hearing it though [7.5/10] 4) Asylum - Though its last it doesnt mean much, its still has a really amazing soundtrack, its just as the series evolved the tracks did too, but the ambience still sets the tone and actually instills a bit of fear in a non horror game, especially with the decrepit old location of Arkham Asylum being the way it is [7/10]

Theres one theme that is always never talked about... The Arkham origins Multiplayer OST
@васяпупкин-х2з7о5 ай бұрын
i wish people talked a lot more about arkham music cause there's a lot of bangers like azrael theme's or joker's death or his own songs and of course main arkham theme that you can hear in maybe 50% of the music if not more

Arkham City being at the top honestly wasnt a surprise, the main theme alone puts it in the #1 spot, playing alongside the climax moment of City (Protocol 10) and City being the most influential game in the entire series. Origins was great, but it wasn't Arkham City, also other tracks like some of the predator tracks and the Gladiator track in particular stand out, easily a good 80% of the OST is a smash hit.

Great vidoe mate. I'd say that my favorites are Knight and Asylum, I couldn't quite point as to why though.
