Finally got the chance to ride both my bikes back to back and really find out which one I'm the fastest on! Comment Below which one you expected to win.

So what are your thoughts on this ktm 450 xc vs your yamaha 450 fx? What are the plusses and minuses between the 2

I just bought 2023 KTM 450SXF FE set up for the woods. The Vortex ECU on the KTM 450 is a game changer.

Im stuck between getting a 350 or 450 for harscambles. Have you ridden a 350 to compare?
@TheMitchForrest10 ай бұрын
Vortex does an excellent job. I’ve had their ecu on both a 250 and 350, but haven’t tried on the 450 yet.
@TheMitchForrest10 ай бұрын
@@westcoastfrisco they are both excellent. 350 takes less energy, 450 you don’t have to shift as perfectly

@@TheMitchForrest I also have a 2022 YZ450F and love the quick revving, snappy motor. The KTM was really soft on the bottom, so the TD vortex ECU gave it more on the bottom end and the quicker revving that I was looking for.

Where do u think the 4stroke cutting time? Corner speed? Straight aways? Everywhere? Lol
@TheMitchForrest10 ай бұрын
Everywhere haha. I should have done the best laps side by side and compared. Much easier to control half throttle through corners and maintain speed.

In all honesty it doesn’t surprise me that there’s that much discrepancy in the times.. with more practice on both bikes you’ll improve your times massively . You need to look more in advance for each corner as well as out of corners to set your body positioning up 👍🏼

So if you only had 1 bike, which would it be? The track looks like a blast!
@TheMitchForrest10 ай бұрын
Probably a 350 haha 😂

All that 450 needs is an KYB insert for the forks, rekluse, and a k-tech rear link and it would be 30 seconds faster per lap. I thought your consistency was great, huge diff going 2s to 4s.
@TheMitchForrest10 ай бұрын
@@williamcrotts7054 thanks man! I actually really love the new spring fork in the 2024. I’ve been running the mx tech lucky spring conversion and their national shock on the 250.
@williamcrotts705410 ай бұрын
I have the 23 350 XCF and here in the desert the airfork is just to much work as the pressure goes up with the temp and it sucks in the rocks. KYB inserts did the trick. K-tech linkage did the trick on the rear and got the harshness out of the rear, and of course the rekluse cures the flameouts and allows you to ride it like a 2 stroke. Where do you live? That track looks like so much fun.@@TheMitchForrest

Will you ever be getting a 250 xcf again? In the future bc its fun like a 2024 or 2023? I love 450s but they are so much powerrr
@TheMitchForrest10 ай бұрын
I’m literally looking at 250fs as I read this comment haha. 450 is too much and I rode like shit today on it haha
@JOEMAMA.9510 ай бұрын
@@TheMitchForrest I'd go with the 250 xcf or the sxf and put a skid plate on. The 2024s look so good and the 2024 ktm 250 xcf in 3rd is so much fun. I can't think of you riding a Yamaha or Honda or kx all I see is Husqvarna and ktms haha

@@TheMitchForrest you should definitely ride a ktm 250f again

Not to be an asshole, but when you have an 8 second variation between laps, you're far too inconsistent of a rider to be doing bike tests.

If you say "not to be an asshole" right before youre an asshole ,you are allowed to be the biggest asshole you can be
@michaelwalas59486 ай бұрын
Yes it’s all in the corners.. all the braking before the corners and accelerate driving smoothly through it. There’s at least 2 seconds improvement per corner easily to be reduced in overall time .
