I have until recently been pretty firmly in the 1000 pc camp, but realized (thanks to social media) that the smaller piece counts, like 300 and 500 mean I can try more challenging images without feeling overwhelmed. I feel, too, that the puzzle brands have woken up to the fact that adult puzzlers like these sizes and the images are less childish nowadays. And lastly, sometimes 300 pc is just right for when I'm doing a puzzle for therapeutic purposes - I'm in a funk or whatever. That satisfying feeling of starting and finishing in one sitting!

I really enjoy doing the smaller piece count puzzles, especially the larger piece size. They make me feel like a puzzling genius and are a nice break after doing larger piece counts. Ravensburger is my favorite in smaller piece counts but I also enjoy Buffalo, Bits and Pieces, Masterpieces and White Mountain. Great video. Enjoyed it as usual.

Hi. I enjoy 300 piece puzzles, as they are quick and easy. I am now doing Ravensburger 500 piece "Dream Library." Great puzzle.

Are there different terms for two-in-two-out puzzle pieces versus pieces like the Ravensburger and Buffalo pieces? People seem to be using 'ribbon cut' for both types of pieces. This would be useful information, especially for new brands. I just don't enjoy two-in-two-out shape pieces for 1,000-piece puzzles. I loved the video and the great variety of brands and images.

I use ribbon cut as to say all the pieces are in a straight line. It was cut on a grid so all the piece sizes are the same even though there are different shapes. two/two are just the style of piece shape but can also be ribbon cut. At least that's what I've gathered.

I love the Ravensburger owl’s one (immediately checked if I could order it xD) but it seems I cannot get it in Switzerland. I only see the XXL ones with more childish designs (which for some fandom I like but still this design is gorgeous)

I have been doing the ceaco 300 by Tracy Flickenger. So far the piece quality has been very good! Smooth fit and firm hold. I love her images!

I have a puzzle from MasterPieces that is 400 pieces, I think the line is Family Hour, and it has small, medium, and large pieces, just like the cobble hill puzzle!

I do enjoy your channel, your content and your personality.....I also do a lot of 300-500 piece count .... and enjoy Ravensburger , the Owl image was gorgeous... lots of great images and good brands...... this was a good video for beginners and experienced puzzlers... sharing different brands... I enjoyed your interview you did with artist.... you didn't talk quite as fast.... I have to slow the speed down for every video.... I still haven't caught the name of the smaller Ravensburger line..... I will google it.... thanks for sharing the info.......

Great video! I agree with Blanc, Ravensburger, WT MTN and I do enjoy Roseart-Crazyart-Kodak (especially the Puzzle Collector line and Vivids! Also, Eurographics 500 are a great size. All of these are definitely a wonderful choice for those times when you need a quick fix! 🤣🤣

Ravensburger used to be high quality BUT a just did 2 of them and there is so much bits and dust in the box they are very messy, they don't have image inserts which makes it super hard to see and worst of all their were BUGS in both puzzles. Brand new puzzles, sealed bags purchased from 2 different places - tiny brown bugs. I have never had that with any other puzzles. No more Ravensburger for me

Weird!! I've done at least 100 from them and have not had many issues. Except they do have A LOT of puzzle dust - but that doesn't bother me too much I usually just sweep it away or use a little vacuum to pick it up.

I'm a beginner at jigsaw puzzles and just finished a couple of 500s. I'm always worried that there might be a missing piece or pieces while I'm putting them together and I would have done all that work for nothing. It takes me days to finish a puzzle. I read some reviews of people buying new puzzles with missing pieces. How common is it to buy a new puzzle with missing pieces.

It's only happened to me a couple of times and it's always been with a brand I wasn't too familiar with or was a bit newer. 99% of the time though I've had no issues. I also know there are a brands that will send you the missing piece, even if it wasn't new. For example Antelope has a whole bunch of extra puzzles they keep for this very example. Say you bought the puzzle and over time you lost a piece, there's a form you fill out and they will mail you the duplicate.

I don't mind the 300 piece puzzles, sometimes that is the only size a particular image is available in. They do go fast and I don't typically do puzzles more than once si I sometimes consider the cost versus reward. I'll usually pick up some when there's a sale. I'm not married to any particular brand. I don't have a problem with Ceaco, I enjoy their puzzles and they're a good price. I also don't get the obsession with Ravensburger. I've done them and they're nice for the most part but I guess I was expecting something more the way every raves about them. There was a fair amount of puzzle dust and they didn't always lie flat. When it comes to brands I guess it's to each their own. 🙂

Also each puzzle tends to vary within a particular brand. Some Ceaco puzzles I've loved and other have really missed the mark. For me, Ravensburger tends to be pretty consistent and dust doesn't bother me too much.

I love White Mountain puzzles. I tend to get their 1000 piece collage puzzles and have collected quite a few of them. Really good customer service too if needed. That gnome set just ended up in my cart. Love gnomes and will have to get that set at some point. Thanks for sharing!

I quite often do 300 pieces or less as a break from doing the larger count jigsaws. Loved the Night Owl Hoot as it is one I did myself recently. Bits & Pieces is another brand I've done quite a bit of and usually their smaller count puzzles. I like their quirky shapes.

Hi from Southern California. I've done puzzles since I was young, ut went a little crazy during Covid. I couldn't even tell you how many I now own but it's probably close to 100. I do like to do them again so I put a post-it on the box with the month and year(s) it was do e. Some I've now done three times. I do cheat a little. When I take it apart after the first time I put all the border pieces in a baggy so I don't have to find them again. My favorite is Charles Wysocki as I like Americana themes and the fact it always includes a poster. I use an old Typing Stand to hold the poster upright.

I don't consider bagging the edge pieces cheating at all - i do the same thing because to be honest, i love puzzling but get zero pleasure from sorting the pieces before starting. A lot of people enjoy that part but not me, lol

This is the first video of yours that I watched and you are a beautiful speaker. Thank you for using the correct word "lie" when describing how the pieces configure themselves when put together on a flat surface. What struck me at the beginning of the video is you sharing you have RA. I'm so sorry about that. I've learned recently here on KZbin that RA is an inflammation disease. I learned there's an inflammation reducing diet that helps with the pain. I encourage you to search for it. #phd

This is very helpful. I do not like the ribbon cut puzzles. I love Ravensburger, Springbok and also the family style puzzles with areas of larger pieces.

Great video! Nice to hear that the Bits N Pieces multi pack are still a good quality. I've done a white mountain multi pack and while I love white mountain, I did NOT enjoy their multi pack! It's as if they send them all to the same manufacturer for printing/cutting. I enjoy a good 300pc puzzle so this was an interesting video for me
