Subscribed on this video after you mentioned having one member a couple out of focus with the 85 1.2. I used to have a 50 1.4, and had the same issue.

Focusing at 1.2 at 85mm is soo narrow it’s crazy. The best thing that has happened over the years is mirrorless cameras and eye detect/tracking. It use to be really “work” to get a clean focus at 1.2 risky too I should say. Static locked down shots on a tripod, subject not moving are a good way to test out if it’s your lens copy or user error. Thanks for the sub.

You might want to make a video about all the super cool things you can do using various lenses and high ISOs. By the way, I’ve been shooting pics and weddings for decades. I replaced all my fixed lenses with zoom lenses. Never want a fixed lens ever again as long as I live.

I think there is a place for both but I hear yea, I’m slowly getting back into zooms. Would love a 24-135mm f1.4 zoom. Lol.

What lenses are you people using for both photos and videos? Sony and Nikon users feel free to comment as well :).

mostly im using 16-35mm f2.8L mkii on my eos r for video work in studio, sigma 85mm f1.4 for outdoor portaits + street photography and nifty fifty 1.8 for just casual use or if im lazy to carry around lenses, sometimes i use it too for studio shots too.

Good video, but audio could use some adjustment. Music was way louder than your voice.
