Which Car is BEST for Autocross? FIT OFF! GD vs GE vs GK

Today friends we have a battle for the ages as OIO team racers Ian, Miles and Ryan are joined by many a Fit friend for the first Kansas City region SCCA autocross of 2024. This competition aims to put to bed the decade old question of which generation of Fit is most fit for autocross competition. We've got Ryan and Larry driving the first generation 2007 GD3 chassis. Ian and Miles piloting the second generation 2009 GE8 chassis. And in the GK5 2015 car is Niles and Courtney. All of the cars have a fairly similar level of modifications (except tires) so the race is fairly close until the end between a lot of the drivers. Watch till the end. You won't regret it.

To my understanding it was only a body kit/wheel upgrade.. maybe brakes? What else?

what tires were on each of the cars? were brake pads switched out? was all unnecessary "junk" in the car (rear headrests, floor mats, hatch floor) removed?

If you watch the intros for each team it lists the modifications. It didn’t talk about pads but I know the GE has hawk HPS 5.0. For autocross generally you are required to remove any loose junk but the driver weight was so varied any removal of extra weight from the car would have been cancelled out. We don’t get that serious about things 😂

@@oioracing understood. sometimes the difference comes down to the driver...I'll have to go back to the intros because I sped through them. videos are no fun when the meat of video starts halfway in and interest is lost/low early on.........

@@K03sport The GK definitely has a better main driver but most of the drivers have years of racing experience. I'm curious to know what you considered the "meat"? Obviously the result was important to you but.. clearly that can't come first. So what drove you to skip the intros and.. what did you skip to?
